You'll Remember These Titans.

Nissan's new full-size Titan pickups deliver massive performance, thanks to a 5.6-liter double-overhead cam Endurance V-8 with 305 HP and 379 lbs. ft. of torque — and BFGoodrich® Rugged Trail T/A® tires on SE and LE versions.

P285/70R17 BFGoodrich® Rugged Trail T/A® tires are exclusive original equipment on all SE and LE Titans equipped with the Off-Road package. For additional off-road performance, the ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) on these models is programmed with a special off-road setting. Designed for improved braking performance in sand and gravel, it allows greater slippage before the ABS is engaged. Nissan also offers an optional switch-on-demand electronically locking rear differential and Rancho performance shocks.

BFGoodrich® tires were specified for the Off-Road package on SE and LE versions because they meet the parameters the truck was designed to deliver. "Working with engineering, we sought the best possible combination of off-road and on-road tire performance," says Randy Dale, then-manager of Titan product planning. "Without a doubt the BFG Rugged Trails allowed us to achieve the targets we set."

Dale said that proof of the effectiveness of the package was demonstrated at the Titan ride and drive press event in Napa, California, in June, 2003.

"We got many unsolicited compliments from journalists about the Rugged Trail tires on the Titan," Dale says. "They come to us and say, 'Man, those tires really work well.' They're saying that about both the off-road performance and the on-road performance."
