Frontier JusticeApril 29, 2005 The super-tough NISMO version of the 2005 Nissan Frontier pickup rides exclusively on BFGoodrich® Rugged Trail T/A® tires. Available in both crew and king cab versions, the NISMO mods make an already tough truck even tougher. In addition to the P265/75R16 Rugged Trail T/A tires, the NISMO Frontier features 16-inch alloy wheels, off-road-tuned performance gas shock absorbers, skid plates, power assisted rack-and-pinion steering and four-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). In addition, the NISMO Frontier features Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA), as well as an electronic locking rear differential and 4-wheel limited slip for 4WD models and 2-wheel limited slip for 2WD models. While NISMO performance components have been offered for sale before, the 2005 Frontier is the first NISMO model Nissan truck sold in America. Built on the same platform as the full-size Nissan Titan pickup, all versions of the 2005 NISMO feature a fully boxed, all-steel frame and offer a newly designed DOHC V6 rated at 265 HP. A 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine is optional on the King Cab 4X2 version, and transmission options include 5-speed electronically controlled automatic or six-speed manual. BFGoodrich® tires are The World's Toughest Off-Road Tires. Last year, BFGoodrich tires won more than 75% of major off-road competitions.
