Eight different BFGoodrich® tires will be used by automakers to equip their new vehicles. "This list represents millions of performance cars, light trucks and sport utility vehicles that will be sold in North America in 2005," said Thom Peebles, brand director for BFGoodrich Tires. "As a whole, it adds up to quite a few replacement tires for our tire dealers down the road." "We're seeing record demand for BFGoodrich tire fitments as major manufacturers see the value consumers place on the aggressive performance tire brand," said Tom Chubb, vice president of marketing for Michelin's original equipment group, Michelin Automotive Industry Division. There continues to be increased interest in BFGoodrich g-Force T/A® ultra-high performance tires and the brand's light truck tires. BFGoodrich's g-Force T/A tires are typically used on the race track or high-performance tuners including pro and amateur racers. Today, these same tires are performance upgrades on vehicles like the Ford Mustang GT in showrooms. BFGoodrich's reputation for manufacturing the "World's Toughest Off-Road Tires" is translating into consumer interest at the car dealer. "BFGoodrich Tires' success in motorsports, particularly in the high performance street and off-road areas, makes a strong connection to the consumer and it translates to their new vehicle purchase," said Chubb. In 2005, BFGoodrich Tires will be on more than one million vehicles manufactured by 13 different brands totaling more than 4.5 million tires. 2005 BFGOODRICH TIRES ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT FITMENT LIST PASSENGER CAR Ford Mustang GT Coupe & Convertible-18-inch wheel upgrade (g-Force tires) Ford Mustang (Traction T/A®) Roush Mustang (g-Force T/AKD) Pontiac GTO (g-Force T/AKDWS) Pontiac Grand Prix (Comp T/A® VR4) LIGHT TRUCK/SUV HUMMER H2 (All- Terrain T/A®KO) HUMMER H2 SUT (All-Terrain T/AKO) Fox Racing/SMA HUMMER H2 (All-Terrain T/AKO) Dodge Ram 2500 Pick-Up (Rugged Trail T/A®) Dodge Ram Power Wagon (All-Terrain T/AKO) Dodge SRT-4 (g-Force T/AKDW) Ford Excursion (Rugged Trail T/A) Ford Explorer (Rugged Trail T/A) Ford F250 Truck (Rugged Trail T/A) Ford F350 Truck (Rugged Trail T/A) Ford E-Series Truck (Long Trail T/A®) Ford Ranger FX4 (All-Terrain T/AKO) Roush Ford F-150 (g-Force T/AKDW) Mercury Mountaineer (Rugged Trail T/A) Chrysler Pacifica (Traction T/A) Honda CR-V (Traction T/A) Hyundai Santa Fe (Long Trail T/A) Hyundai Tucson (Traction T/A) KIA Sportage (Traction T/A) Lincoln Mark LT (Rugged Trail T/A, Long Trail T/A) Nissan Armada (Rugged Trail T/A) Nissan Pathfinder (Rugged Trail T/A, Long Trail T/A) Nissan Frontier (Rugged Trail T/A) Nissan Titan (Rugged Trail T/A) Nissan Xterra (Long Trail T/A, Rugged Trail T/A) Toyota Tacoma (Rugged Trail T/A) Toyota Tundra (Rugged Trail T/A, All-Terrain T/AKO) BFGoodrich Tires combines technological expertise with vast motorsports experience, delivering a high-performance tire for every type of vehicle from ultra-high performance tuner vehicles, sports cars and SUVs to the hottest sport trucks, pickups and rock-crawling rigs in the world.
