March 21, 2005 BFGoodrich g-Force T/AKDW Tires Selected for Special Edition Subaru WRX STi; Actor/Drag Racer Ali Afshar Selects Tires for Limited-Edition Vehicles GREENVILLE, SC Actor and drag racer Ali Afshar, whose acting career includes recurring roles in "King of Queens" and "JAG," has selected BFGoodrich® g-Force T/A® KDW tires to equip the Afshar Signature Series Subaru ESX/STi. No more than 40 of the special edition Subaru WRX STi cars will be made in 2005, offering enthusiasts a unique, limited-edition option when choosing a high-performance vehicle. Starting with an already top-notch sports car, Afshar and his team will further unleash the capabilities of the boxer engine and Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive of the Subaru WRX STi. Among the host of performance enhancements included with the Signature Series ESX/STi are the 245/35/ZR18 BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW tires, which combine superior traction with a stylish and aggressive appearance. "This is a groundbreaking effort for sport compact cars in the United States," said Thom Peebles, BFGoodrich Tires brand director. "These 40 vehicles will be some of the most desirable STi vehicles on the road, and we are proud that Ali and Easy Street Motorsports have selected our g-Force T/A KDW tire to outfit their car." The g-Force T/A KDW tire offers the best of both dry and wet performance in one ultra-high performance (UHP) tire. With 85 total sizes designed to fit everything from 15- to 24-inch wheels, the g-Force T/A KDW tire line is both the largest UHP tire line and the single deepest tire line in the world. The modified Subaru is designed to be street legal in all 50 states while remaining extremely competitive on the drag strip, with quarter-mile times pegged at the mid- to low-twelves. Afshar Signature Series ESX/STi vehicles can be ordered through select Subaru dealers nationwide. Current STi owners can have the conversion performed at Easy Street Motorsports.
