March 29, 2004 BFGoodrich® Tires 'Try Me' Program Lets Consumers Test Drive BFG Off-Road Tires At Moab Easter Jeep Safari Greenville, S.C. BFGoodrich® Tires is giving consumers a chance to try two of the brand's most successful off-road tires through a unique "Try Me" program at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. BFGoodrich Tires will be offering a total of 20 sets of tires and wheels in a variety of sizes and bolt patterns to test drive during the annual off-road event. Tires and wheels will be available on a first come, first serve basis at the BFGoodrich Tires display. The program will feature BFGoodrich's Mud-Terrain, T/A®KM tire, the king of off-road tires, and the Krawler T/AKX tire, the number one tire for rock crawling. Tires will be available in a variety of sizes ranging from the 31x10.50R15 Mud-Terrain T/A KM to the monster 37/12.50R17 Krawler T/AKX. "What better way to choose a tire than having the opportunity to try it for yourself," said Gary Enterline, light truck category manager for BFGoodrich Tires. "This unique program lets consumers test drive our tires on some of the most demanding trails in the West and gives them the option to purchase tires through a local BFGoodrich tire dealer." BFGoodrich Tires has teamed up with Chip's Grand Tire, a local BFGoodrich Tires dealer based in Moab, Utah, to sell tires to those customers who like what they see. "This is a fantastic way to not only demonstrate the product to potential customers, but to show that you are committed to your local tire dealers," said Chip Brox of Chip's Grand Tire. "BFGoodrich light truck tires are known as the most durable and best performing in the industry and this program says 'come see for yourself'." At the end of the event, BFGoodrich Tires will give the "Try Me" tires to Chip's Grand Tire who uses them for customer demonstration purposes at the dealership throughout the year. To be eligible for the "Try Me" program, drivers must sign up at the BFGoodrich Tires display, present a valid driver's license and sign an event waiver. BFGoodrich Tires pit crew members will remove the person's existing wheels and tires and store them while bolting on new wheels and tires for the day. At the end of the test period, BFGoodrich Tires will remove the wheels and tires and replace with the owner's original equipment. Drivers may sign up for multiple days to try both types of tires. "This is the perfect chance to try two of the best off-road tires out there for free," says Enterline. "If you've ever wanted to try a larger tire on your Jeep, this is your chance."
