World's Hottest Street Tires Set to Make One Lap of America; Unique Competition Showcases BFGoodrich g-Force™ T/A® Ultra-High Performance Tires

Beginning this Saturday (April 30) at The Tire Rack in South Bend, Ind., teams riding on BFGoodrich® Tires will be criss-crossing the United States as they race to win the Cannonball One Lap of America presented by Car & Driver and the Tire Rack.

The 2005 Tire Rack Cannonball One Lap of America marks the 22nd time this famous challenge organized by Brock Yates will take place. Similar to recent years, the 2005 event will test the endurance of both vehicles and drivers. Drivers must travel at legal speeds on the highway from the Midwest to the eastern United States and back, while being measured and scored during each competition.

"This unique event takes competitors through multiple states and will cover more than 3,000 miles challenging the endurance of both man and machine," said Thom Peebles, brand director for BFGoodrich Tires.
