Moss Brothers Score 20th Class Win At Baja 500
Sacramento, CA

The 38th annual SCORE Baja 500 is over and the record books will reflect that the four-time SCORE Class Three champions Don and Ken Moss captured their 20th Class Three win at this 2006 event. The race featured 464 entries from 28 U.S. States, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, France, New Zealand and Japan, the largest race field ever!

The brothers and their Black Bronco Crew completed the 424-mile course in just over 14 hours, finishing at two AM on Sunday, June 4. The crew arrived a little early in Ensenada to allow time to install the new rear and front springs, which they picked up on their way south for the race. That was the only heavy work done in Mexico on the Bronco.

"We got out a grand total of one screwdriver and tightened one screw on one of the voltage regulators the entire race,'" quipped Don Moss. The team once again completed the race on BFGoodrich rubber with no flats.

This Baja 500 race was filmed for television by Auro360 to be aired in December as a one hour special on NBC in the United States and on ESPN International worldwide.

The next race in the SCORE Off-Road racing series will be the SCORE Las Vegas / Primm 300 in September in Primm, NV and the Moss Brothers will be there with their trusty BFGoodrich tires to continue their chase for a fifth Class Three Championship.
