Combining an increased interest for American hot rods and muscle cars with a serious passion for the open road, the 11th annual Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour™ will campaign across the United States this summer (June 4-11). The HOT ROD Magazine Power Tour™ began in 1995 when HOT ROD magazine staff struck upon the idea of sending the magazine's project cars on a cross-country road trip. Word spread as the group road-tripped from Los Angeles, Calif., all the way to Norwalk, Ohio, and the rest is history. In 2004, the HOT ROD Magazine Power Tour™ drew more than 2,000 hot rodders, and even more participants are expected this year. Offering home-built hot rods and vehicles from nationally recognized customizers such as Troy Trepanier and Imagine Motorsports in a car-show-on-wheels format, the HOT ROD Magazine Power Tour™ is a hot-rod aficionado's dream come true. The 2005 HOT ROD Magazine Power Tour™ schedule includes: BFGoodrich Tires offers a variety of tires for hot rodders and custom car and truck enthusiasts ranging from the Radial T/A®, the tire that started it all to the g-Force T/A® line of ultra-high performance tires. "We continue to see two segments of car and truck enthusiasts. One group is going for the traditional look and is selecting the Radial T/A while a new and developing group is aiming for more performance, bigger sizes and a more updated look selecting the g-Force T/A tire line," said Peebles. During the tour, BFGoodrich Tires will be teaming up with select BFGoodrich Tires dealers at tour stops to offer special discounts to consumers visiting the vehicle displays. In addition, BFGoodrich Tires' 53-foot tractor trailer and display will travel with the tour beginning with the June 6 stop in Indianapolis, Ind. and finishing in Kissimmee, Fla.
