June 3, 2003BFGoodrich® Tires Outperform At SCORE Baja 500; Secures Another Tire Title In Desert Racing Season Greenville, SC BFGoodrich® Tires improved its winning streak with the first 18 racers crossing the finish line at the 35th Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 500 on BFGoodrich tires. Teams using BFGoodrich tires won 11 classes and the top 15 classes overall securing the brand's fifth of five overall titles in the 2003 desert racing season. "There is no substitute for good tires," said Jeff Cummings, off-road motorsports manager for BFGoodrich Tires. "When racing on this type of terrain, it pays to race with an authentic and race-proven tire." Teams utilized BFGoodrich Baja KR®, BFGoodrich Baja T/A®, and BFGoodrich All Terrain® tires to navigate the nearly 453-mile off-road course. More than 65 racers took part in Round 3 of the six-race SCORE Desert Series. Starting and finishing in Ensenada, Baja, California, BFGoodrich provided a full array of support elements for the teams including all tire services, pit support, radio communications and maps.
