BFGoodrich® Tires Traction T/A® Tire Tops The Tire Rack's All-Season High Performance Consumer Survey
Greenville, S.C.

The BFGoodrich® Traction T/A® (H-rated) tire has joined its V-rated sibling at the top of The Tire Rack's All-Season High Performance Tire Survey results.

In addition to The Tire Rack team's new tire tests, the company began independent consumer surveys in 1996 to help drivers help each other by sharing their long term tire experiences.

"We are very pleased with the survey results," said Thom Peebles, brand director for BFGoodrich Tires. "When you design a new tire, it is important to design it for consumers. A survey of consumers for consumers is one of the best indications you can receive when evaluating the success of a new product."

The Traction T/A (H-rated) tire debuts in the number one spot besting competitor tires including the Goodyear Eagle GT-HR and the Bridgestone Potenza RE950. The Traction T/A (H-rated) tire has received superior rankings for dry and wet traction, cornering stability, steering response and tread wear. Most importantly, the Traction T/A (H-rated) tire received the list's top ranking when consumers were asked if they would buy the tire again.

"We are happy that the Traction T/A radial's performance experienced during The Tire Rack's on-road and test track evaluations have been reinforced by end user opinions," said John Rastetter, director tire product information for The Tire Rack, "We are also pleased that tirerack.com's survey results help drivers share opinions about their tires' capabilities to consumers who are deciding which tires to buy next."

The first Traction T/A tires made their debut as racing slicks developed for the American Speed Association (ASA) stock car racing series, and have most recently become the official tires of Skip Barber Racing and the USAR Hooters Pro-Cup series. It should come as no surprise that the new street version of Traction T/A has a very competitive nature.

The Traction T/A tire is the next-generation in all-season touring and sports car tire technology and incorporates advanced design and performance elements that allow it to reach segments previously covered by seven different BFGoodrich tire lines. The Traction T/A tire was designed for touring and sports car drivers looking for an affordable performance tire that offers superior wet and dry traction, responsive handling and excellent treadlife.

In addition to the H-rated version, the Traction T/A comes in V-rated sizes featuring BFGoodrich's 60,000-mile warranty, while a T-rated version is covered by a 70,000-mile warranty.

The Traction T/A tire will be original equipment on the newly designed base 2005 Ford Mustang, Chrysler Pacifica and Honda CR-V among others and is available in a variety of sizes fitting a majority of passenger vehicles.
