BFGoodrich® Tires continues to push the envelope with the ultimate driving experience the BFG Challenge. A six-city tour where consumers test drive some of today's hottest vehicles and determine for themselves how BFGoodrich tires stack up against the competition, the BFG Challenge will bring additional excitement to consumers by piloting in-car video cameras. When consumers finish their BFG Challenge experience at the 8th Annual BFGoodrich Tires Summer Sport Compact Slam, they can log onto www.bfgoodrichtires.com/BFGchallenge to view footage of their track time as a memento of their pedal-to-the-metal fun.
BFGoodrich Tires introduced the six-city BFG Challenge this year in Los Angeles at the International Auto Salon to rave reviews and proceeded to dominate the scene at the Atlantic City International Auto Salon, where 2,500 people flocked to the BFG Challenge for some behind-the-wheel fun. The adrenaline-pumping event is free to the public and pits BFGoodrich tires against its competition in a specially designed "mobile proving ground" course."The BFG Challenge is designed to demonstrate the differences in performance tires and the value of selecting the right tire for a vehicle, all while having a great time," said Thom Peebles, brand director for BFGoodrich Tires. "Piloting in-car camera technology will give people the opportunity to relive their experience behind the wheel and share it with friends." The BFG Challenge Tour features identically prepared NISMO-tuned Nissan 350Zs, Subaru WRX STis, and Acura RSX Type S sports cars. Drivers will have the opportunity to test the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A®KD, one of the world's stickiest street-legal tires and the g-Force T/AKDW, a premier wet and dry ultra-high-performance (UHP) tire with a unique tread pattern. Half of the vehicles will be fitted with BFGoodrich Tires and the others will be equipped with the same size competitor tires, allowing consumers to conduct their own back-to-back tests. Four events remain in the BFG Challenge including:
