BFGoodrich® Tires To Outfit Limited-Edition Fox Racing SMA® HUMMER H2; 500 Custom Vehicles To Be Sold Through GM Dealers
Los Angeles, C.A.

BFGoodrich® Tires has announced a new partnership with Fox Racing and SMA to produce a limited-edition HUMMER H2 vehicle to be sold through the General Motors Dealer network. Scheduled for a production run of only 500, the vehicle features extensive modifications, both inside and out, which raise the already-formidable H2 SUV/SUT to a new level of exclusivity and performance.

When designing the limited-edition H2 SUV/SUT, SMA focused exclusively on top-tier enhancements and secured BFGoodrich Tires to provide the necessary tires to enhance not only the performance, but the aggressive appearance of the truck as well.

"With the unique combination of aggressive tread patterns and exceptional performance, our All-Terrain T/A® KO and Mud-Terrain T/A® KM are the perfect tires for this limited edition H2 SUV/SUT," said Thom Peebles, brand director of BFGoodrich Tires. "Today's hard-core enthusiast market clearly demands a strong balance of aesthetics and performance, and BFGoodrich Tires' role as a key partner ensures this balance from the ground up. Teaming up with one of the premier motocross teams and one of the premier tuners of HUMMERs is a perfect match for BFGoodrich Tires' reputation as one of the premier manufacturers of leading off-road tires."

The limited run of 500 H2s will be split into two categories - a Fox 180 H2 truck and a Fox 360 H2 truck - each modified with unique performance and in-car entertainment (I.C.E.) features to stand out from the crowd. Other partners helping to create the ultimate H2 include such leading companies such as Fox Racing, Rancho, Weld Racing and SMA.

"Fox has been a leader in the motocross industry since 1974," said Fox Racing co-owner and creative director Pete Fox. "As part of our 30th anniversary, we are excited to forge such a unique partnership with BFGoodrich Tires, HUMMER and SMA because, like Fox, these companies are recognized around the world as pioneers and industry leaders."

SMA elevates the already-aggressive H2 exterior with a host of accessories, including a light bar, roof rack, interior/exterior billets, brush guards, tire carrier and more. The Fox Racing logo will be featured throughout the interior and exterior, showing prominently on the hood panel insert, door buckets, door sills, headrests, instrument panel and exterior and interior badges. Each truck will be uniquely numbered with a billet aluminum dash plaque. A heavy-duty winch will be mounted to fill out the front end and a performance cat-back true dual exhaust will be installed to let everyone know that the Fox Racing H2s mean business.

"SMA is the leader in aftermarket accessories for the H2, and to create this unique product we had to develop and re-engineer billet accessories in two unique finishes - satin and titanium-chrome," said Todd Romano, SMA senior vice president. "BFGoodrich Tires and all of the companies involved in this project are at the top of their respective fields. As a team, we have raised the bar on H2 customization and succeeded in creating a vehicle unlike any other."

To set the Fox 180 H2 apart, aggressive 35-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/AKM tires are wrapped around 18-inch Weld Racing Commando rims. With the exclusive DiggerLugz™ pattern featured prominently, the Mud-Terrain T/AKM tires will give the aggressive Fox 180 package some serious teeth.

The interior of the Fox 180 receives its fair-share of modifications as well. All headrests receive a custom-stitched Fox Racing logo, with the front two headrests also featuring Videologic TV monitors. Passengers will be able to take advantage of a DVD player and wireless head phones to further enjoy the exclusivity of the H2's spacious cabin.

The Magnuson supercharged, 500-plus-horsepower Fox 360 sits on massive BFGoodrich 37-inch All-Terrain T/AKO Tires - America's most popular and capable all-terrain tire - and awe-inspiring 20-inch Weld Racing Commando rims. Rancho supplies an exceptionally capable shock-absorption system which, when coupled with the optional Rancho four-inch lift kit, enhances the already-aggressive Fox 360 stance.

The Fox 180 and 360 will be showcased at the 2004 X-Games held in Los Angeles August 5th-8th, the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas this November, the Off-Road Expo, the AMA Outdoor Motocross Nationals and the Fox Racing Tour, as well as on the popular BFGoodrich Tires poster series. The limited run of 500 H2s are available for sale today.
