BFGoodrich® Tires All-Terrain T/A® KO and Krawler T/A® KX Named To Four Wheeler Magazine's 2004 All Star Reader's Poll
Greenville, S.C.

The readers of Four Wheeler magazine have spoken. BFGoodrich® Tires , All-Terrain T/A® KO tire and Krawler T/A® KX tire, have been named to the 2004 All Star Reader's Poll by readers of Four Wheeler magazine. BFGoodrich was the only tire manufacturer to have multiple tires named to the list.

"This is an outstanding recognition for the All-Terrain T/A KO and Krawler T/A KX tire lines," said Thom Peebles, BFGoodrich Tires brand director. "It means a lot to have readers, the people who use our tires everyday, select us for this recognition. We put a lot of effort into designing the world's toughest off-road tires and we are happy to see that our consumers approve of them."

"The decisions we make in the garage relate directly to the level of enjoyment we experience on the trail. Our rule of thumb is: Choose inferior merchandise and your weekend fun, in many cases, your safety, may be compromised," said Robin Stover, editor of Four Wheeler magazine. "Pick quality equipment, do the job right, with the right parts, the first time, and your rig will work and run consistently. This list incorporates reader suggestions and comments to form a new list of All-Star products."

The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tire has long been known as the premier off-road tire for those not willing to sacrifice performance and style. When the original Radial All-Terrain tire was launched in 1976, it promptly redefined the off-road segment by providing consumers with an aspirational tire that begged to be taken off road. Today, it continues to set the standard for those that demand the optimum combination of style and substance.

"The All-Terrain T/A tire was one of the first tires that looked so good and performed so well, that consumers clamored to show off what they were driving on. It really put raised white letters on the map," said Gary Enterline, light-truck category manager for BFGoodrich Tires. "It has since become the benchmark for all-terrain tires with its unique tread and shoulder design."

Designed to conquer the toughest terrain, the Krawler T/A KX tire features a specially formulated tri-polymer tread compound, tuned for exceptional traction and toughness, to help provide optimized grip and control on rocks and hard-packed dirt. It maintains extreme traction whatever the obstacle -- and its name reflects this as KX stands for "Key Feature: Xtreme."

The BFGoodrich Krawler T/A KX tire features a four-ply carcass, huge, ultra-aggressive lugs in the tread and sidewall areas built for traction and resistance to punctures and bruising. This purpose-built tire has scored more rock crawling victories than all of its competition combined. The Krawler T/A KX tire is available in two sizes, 35x13.50R15 and 37x12.50R17. The 17-inch dimension is available in two versions with one featuring a partially blank tread area that will allow its owner to customize his/her tread design.

BFGoodrich Tires combines technological expertise with vast motorsports experience, delivering a high-performance tire for every type of vehicle from ultra-high performance tuner vehicles, sports cars and SUVs to the hottest sport trucks, pickups and rock-crawling rigs in the world.

For more than 30 years, BFGoodrich Tires has used motorsports as a proving ground. Success on the street begins with winning on the track and BFGoodrich Tires is involved in every type of racing, including oval, road, drag, desert and extreme rock-crawling. With 18 consecutive Baja 1000 wins, the most wins in rock-crawling history, and an unmatched record on pavement, BFGoodrich Tires has proven the only records it breaks are its own.
