BFGoodrich® Tires Sweeps 2004 CORR Championships; Baldwin, LeDuc & Taylor Win Points Battle
Greenville, S.C.

BFGoodrich® Tires has swept all three Pro division championships for the second straight year in the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) series.

BFGoodrich Tires, the Official Tire of the CORR series since the series began in 1998, clinched the Pro-Lite, Pro-2 and Pro-4 division championships this past weekend in New Berlin, NY. Jason Baldwin (214 points) and Kyle LeDuc (199 points) were crowned new champions in Pro-4 and Pro-Lite while Scott Taylor (212 points) earned his sixth consecutive Pro-2 title.

"What an outstanding ending to a great season," said Thom Peebles, BFGoodrich Tires brand director. "Congratulations to all of our teams on an incredible year and for sweeping the series championship."

The following is a list of tires that competitors use in the CORR series:
  • All-Terrain T/A ® KO - The latest generation of the world's first performance off-road radial offers improved traction, durability and tread life. Like its predecessors, the new tire features the BFGoodrich brand's patented three-ply TriGard ® construction for exceptional bruise resistance and strength in the sidewall.
  • Mud-Terrain T/A KM - Like its predecessors, the latest generation mud-terrain performer has earned its stripes in competition. It features the BFGoodrich TriGard sidewall construction and a go-anywhere tread design for excellent performance crawling over rocks and negotiating the most grueling off-road conditions.
  • Mud-Terrain T/A KR - This is the brand's experimental tire for the CORR Series and features exceptionally heavy-duty construction and specialty compounds. It is used as a test bed for developing technologies for future BFGoodrich light-truck tires.
  • Radial Long-Trail T/A - Used primarily by competitors in the buggy classes, this tire offers excellent traction and handling, as well as the durability short-course off-road racers need.
"Claiming all three Pro-division championships is a testament to the great skill of our teams and the advantage that racing with BFGoodrich brings," said Gary Enterline, light-truck category manager for BFGoodrich Tires. "We pride ourselves on making the world's toughest off-road tires and we work to prove this no matter the series, the race or the conditions."

All the 2004 CORR Lucas Oil Series champions will be honored at the annual Champion's Banquet and Award ceremony November 6, 2004 at the KI Convention Center and Regency Suites Hotel in Green Bay, WI.
