September 30, 2003 BFGoodrich® Tires Trackside -- Weekly Racing Update Greenville, SC Each week, BFGoodrich® Tires provides highlights of the past week's racing including oval, road, drag racing and various off-road series results. In addition, This Week at BFGoodrich Tires highlights upcoming events. UROC Super Crawl BFGoodrich teams dominated the world's largest rock-crawling event scoring the top eight positions in the Unlimited Class and finishing atop the Super Stock Class. Jon Bundrant claimed the Unlimited Class championship by battling his way to some of the most difficult rock obstacles this year. Jeff Mello scored his first victory in the Super Stock Class by finishing up the final day strong. With the victory, BFGoodrich Tires continues to reinforce its position as the number one tire in rock-crawling with its Krawler T/A KX tire scoring more than 70 percent of the victories this year. BFGoodrich Tires teams captured an overwhelming number of championships this year including series championships in EROCC, Neurock, Prorock and UROC. During the event's halftime ceremonies on Saturday, BFGoodrich representatives gave away the Karnivore, a replica of John Gilleland's rock-crawling rig to John Casey of Red Bluff, California. Trans-Am Road Racing Series With one event remaining in the Trans-Am Road Racing Series season, Scott Pruett put to rest any remaining doubts about who would win the Motorock Trans-Am Tour for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup Drivers Championship by dominating this weekend's race in Miami from start to finish. The championship is Pruett's third. With one race remaining, Pruett's return to Trans-Am was capped by leading the race from start to finish. Visit Trans-Am online at: http://www.trans-amseries.com. NOPI Drag Racing Association Paul Efantis has done it again. He's broken his own previous record in the quarter mile in the BFGoodrich Tires Pro Street Class by taking his Titan Motorsports Supra to a 8.29-second, 170 miles-per-hour in this past weekend's competition in Maple Grove. Efantis continues his reign as the points leader in the series with teammate Mark Mazurowski riding in second. Efantis and Mazurowski will host an online forum at BFGoodrichtires.com on October 27 & 28 from 9:00 p.m. -11:00 p.m. ET each evening.
