October 24, 2006 Tracy Jordan, sometimes known as 'the Steel Horse Cowboy', was the 2004 UROC Super Modified Class Champion. He also is an off-road desert racer, competing in the venerable Baja 1000. Whether he's defying the dessert heat or getting vertical on a slickrock wall this versatile driver is riding on BFGoodrich® tires.
How did you first get into rockcrawling? What made me want to compete? I met the wrong people. (laughs) I've been competitive at everything I do. I got the bug right off the bat."
How important are tires to you? In 2002 we were the first team to try BFGoodrich tires out in the rockcrawling world. BFGoodrich still has a compound that is unmatched. Nobody's got it yet. It's still the best proven compound. In my eyes there isn't a better tire."
What do you love about rockcrawling?
Where is your favorite spot to rockcrawl? We're also looking forward to a UROC Series win and a WEROC Series (UROC Extreme West Nationals) win. I've never won both back to back." |
