November 1, 2005Skunk2 Makes NHRA History on BFGoodrich® g-Force T/A® Drag Competition Slick Tires Pomona, CA Tony Shagday ended the 2005 National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Sport Compact World Finals at the Pomona Raceway on a seriously fast note at the 5th annual Nitto NHRA Sport Compact World Finals at Pomona Raceway. Shagday's Skunk2 Racing Project Beta Acura Integra, riding on BFGoodrich® g-Force T/A® Drag competition slick tires, powered down the track in a history-setting 9.63 seconds at 141.80 mph. Shagday's 9.63 time stands as the quickest All Motor pass in NHRA history.

The BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag competition slick tire has been used in two competitions and performed exceptionally by surpassing world record times on both occasions. The tire will continue to be used in the 2006 drag racing season by Skunk2 and possibly other teams. The tire is not currently available for commercial sale, however BFGoodrich Tires will assess future opportunities.
