BFGoodrich® Tires "Krawls" Over Competition in 2003
Las Vegas NV

With 47 individual rock-crawling titles, BFGoodrich® Tires outperformed the competition throughout the 2003 season.

Led by the skilled driving of Jon Bundrant, Tracy Jordan and Ken Shupe, BFGoodrich Tires "rolled" to 10 out of 14 rock-crawling season championships and 47 out of 68 individual wins this year. Team BFG rode on KrawlerTM T/A® tires specifically designed for off-road use, offering an ultra-aggressive, deep-lug tread pattern and one of the most puncture-resistant sidewalls ever offered.

"BFGoodrich Tires has built its highly regarded reputation on successes learned in competition," said Thom Peebles, brand director, BFGoodrich Tires. "This year's rock-crawling wins have left a familiar tread mark on the competition, stamping the BFG name once again as the king of off-road."

2003 was the second consecutive year BFGoodrich outperformed the competition. Last year, BFGoodrich Tires won more rock-crawling events than all other tire manufacturers combined. This season's wins were spread across the UROC, Pro Rock, RCCA, EROCC, NEUROC and Cal ROCS series.

BFGoodrich's amazing season was highlighted by wins across all seven series, including:
  • UROC - Overall season championships in the Legends (Dean Bulloch) and Unlimited classes (Jon Bundrant).
  • Pro Rock - Overall season championship in the Trophy class for Bundrant, with strong second and third place finishes for Jordan and Jason Paule.
  • RCCA - Season championship in the Stock class for Garrett Sisson, with a second place finish for Jeff Mello. In the Super Modified class, Team BFG was victorious once again with a first place finish by Bundrant.
  • EROCC - In the Stock Modified class, Mike Cole led Team BFG to a season championship. Ken Shupe captured a season championship in the Unlimited Class.
  • NEUROC - Team BFG swept all three classes for the season championship, including a win by Dale Cousino in the Stock Modified class. Adrian Dognin captured a season championship in the Pro Modified class, and the trifecta was completed by Charlie Melchner with a victory in the Unlimited class.
