BFGoodrich® Tires Take the Spotlight at SEMA
Las Vegas, NV

BFGoodrich® Tires has consistently stayed ahead of the curve when it comes to the serious enthusiast -- both on- and off-road. This year's SEMA display holds excitement for every spectrum of the market, and everyone who stops by will not be disappointed.

Featured in the BFGoodrich Tires booth are two of the newest sensations to hit the industry, the BFGoodrich Krawler T/A® KX, 37x12.50/17 and the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A® KDW, 315/55/R22. The Krawler T/A KX has made an impressive showing at rock crawling events around the country, and the public can look forward to availability of the tire at authorized dealerships in early 2003. The BFGoodrich g-Force T/A® KDW in the 315/55/R22 size is the market's only approved Hummer H2 fitment, demonstrating the brand's continued commitment to leading the pack in optimum product. Availability to the public is targeted for the second quarter of 2003.

Other tires to be featured at the booth will include: the g-Force T/A® KD, the ultimate in dry traction and handling; the g-Force T/A® Drag Radial and the Comp T/A® Drag Radial, the street-legal drag racing tires that have dominated sport compact competition this season; the Project T/A®, the best option in desert racing; g-Force T/A® racing radials, the tires that stand up to the challenge of Trans-Am racing, and the Radial T/A®, which has received a great deal of attention from enthusiasts across the country.

Many of these tires are featured on some of the hottest vehicles at the show. The ones on display at the BFGoodrich® Tires booth include:
  • 2002 NHRA CHAMPION TITAN MOTORSPORTS Supra Turbo. "The World's Fastest Unibody Supra" is also the 2002 NHRA Summit Sport Compact Street Tire champ, setting new NHRA Street Tire records for E.T. and MPH in the process. "They've rewritten the record book so many times and so severely this season," said the NHRA, "that our records keepers have worn out their erasers." The 6-speed, 950-HP Supra features a GReddy T88H Turbo and 4-row intercooler - and BFGoodrich Comp T/A® Drag Radials, 325/50/R15.
  • "xXx" 1967 Pontiac GTO. One of the stars of the BFGoodrich booth at SEMA also played a starring role in one of the summer's hottest films -- Revolution Studios' blockbuster "xXx." The customized '67 Pontiac GTO features a combination of high-tech armaments -- hood scoop-mounted flamethrower, headlights that flip up to fire missiles -- and classic muscle car essentials: Rocker pipes. Trick paint. Chrome Weld wheels. And BFGoodrich Radial T/AR tires, F: 235/60/R15, R: 255/60/R15.
  • JOHNSON CONTROLS Jaguar XKR. Three-time Sports Car Club of America Trans-Am champ Paul Gentilozzi drove this Rocketsports Jaguar XKR to victory in the Long Beach season opener and to numerous podium finishes thereafter. Rocketsports designed and fabricated the chrome-moly tube chassis. The 5.1-liter V8 produces 675 hp and is capable of 0-100 in 6.1 seconds. Top speed: 185 mph. Every Trans-Am competitor since 1998 has driven on BFGoodrich g-Force T/A® racing radials, F: 325/35/R16, R: 335/45/R16
  • MOTOREX 2001 Nissan Skyline GT-R34. When Paul Walker, star of the hit movie "The Fast and the Furious," wanted a hot tuner version of the Skyline GT-R, he turned to MotoRex, the So. Cal. importer and tuner. "Every body part we used," says MotoRex boss Hiro Nonashima, "is from Nismo, and all the performance parts are race-bred." For tires and wheels, Hiro chose Volk TE37s wearing BFGoodrich g-Force T/A® KD tires, 265/35/R18. Why g-Forces? Says Hiro: "Because this is a real-deal, no-gimmick car." Owner: Makoto Smart.
  • AVALANCHE Jeep Liberty. John Gilleland is one of the reasons BFGoodrich tires dominated the 2002 rock crawling season, winning more races and championships than all other tires combined. Gilleland captured the Skyjacker Extreme Rock Crawling Nationals in his Avalanche-built 350-CID rock rig and scored two Unlimited Class wins in the rival UROC series. John relies on new BFGoodrich Krawler T/A® KX tires because, he tells rockcrawler.com, they are "sticky like a modern-day Spiderman." Tires: BFGoodrich Krawler T/AKX, 37x12.50/17.
  • HERMAN MOTORSPORTS Ford F-150. 2002 Best in the Desert (BITD) Trophy Truck champion Damen Jeffries will be one of the many competitors later this month gunning for BFGoodrich® Tires' amazing 17th straight Baja 1000 victory. The 2WD Porter-built mid-engine reverse-mount 750-HP Ford SVO 412-CID truck is 5,200 lbs. of purpose-built steel, aluminum and carbon fiber - with almost 3 feet of wheel travel. Front and rear tires are BFGoodrich 37x12.50R17 Baja Project T/A® tires on Team Gordon 17x8 beadlocks. "HEAT THE STREETS" SWEEPSTAKES Toyota MR2. Win this Spyder on the Web.
