BFGoodrich® g-Force T/A®KDW Pairs Exotic Looks and Balanced Wet, Dry Perfomance To Excite All Aspects of the Market
Las Vegas, NV

BFGoodrich® Tires has taken the radical, futuristic look of its g-Force T/A® KDW to new heights, making it the go-to tire for serious enthusiasts who want the ultimate in ultra-high performance, rain or shine.

The size that has taken the market by storm sports an exotic curvilinear tread design. The 305/35ZR24 has graced the pages of several publications and outfitted the vehicles of some of the biggest names in entertainment over the past year.

"The market's response to the 24-inch g-Force T/A KDW started at the SEMA Show last November, and it has been phenomenal throughout 2002," said Adam Murphy, a marketing manager for BFGoodrich® Tires. "The demand for this tire really validates that we have our hand on the pulse of what tuners and consumers want in a tire -- and the 24-inch is best in looks and performance." Plans for the line may include some 50 dimensions, ranging from 16 inch up to the 24 inch, and possibly beyond.

According to Murphy, the g-Force T/A KDW line will continue to spark the consumer's interest by focusing on tread elements. "We have proven the authentic performance of this tire, and now we want to stay ahead of the pack when it comes to cutting-edge looks that will appeal to consumers."

Regardless of the tread style, drivers can expect exceptional performance in both wet and dry conditions. The g-Force T/A KDW provides excellent traction and handling, resists hydroplaning and gets top marks for progressivity, on-center steering response and feel, and driver feedback. Important elements in the tire's excellent performance are its silica-reinforced tread compound, which provides exceptional grip in both wet and dry conditions. Both tread designs are unidirectional and contribute to the tire's excellent traction. Deep, wide grooves speed water evacuation and reduce hydroplaning for superb grip in the wet. Large block elements enhance stability, wear and handling under high-torque conditions.

Tall, high-volume g-Control™ sidewall inserts help resist deflection, generate tremendous cornering forces and provide lateral firmness. Dimensionally stable polyester carcass plies and the BFGoodrich® brand's patented ETEC™ System give the tire excellent strength, a consistent footprint, a maximized tread contact area and a smooth ride. (The ETEC System, which stands for Equal Tension Containment, controls distortion when the tire is subjected to high centrifugal forces.)

Critical to the performance of the g-Force T/A® KDW is its rounded shoulder profile, which contributes to the tire's progressive breakaway characteristic, predictability and good feedback at the limit of adhesion, all of which are very important in ultra-high-performance driving.

BFGoodrich® tires, made for people looking to take control of the driving experience, combine technological expertise with the experience gained in motorsports to offer a traction advantage for almost every type of vehicle and driving preference.
