"2003 has been a banner year for BFGoodrich Tires and is proof that more and more drivers are discovering the advantages of racing with BFGoodrich Tires," said Thom Peebles, brand director for BFGoodrich Tires. "We race to win and we race to develop the most advanced and best performing tires in motorsports. We are looking forward to improving our record in 2004." During the 2003 desert racing season, BFGoodrich Tires claimed 10 out of 11 overall race wins, winning both the SCORE and Best In The Desert points overall championships and 28 out of 35 class championships, far more than any other competitor. The success of the brand's off-road tires put them in high demand as the Krawler T/AKX was the tire of choice for more than 60 percent of the field at SuperCrawl II, the Super Bowl of rock crawling. In addition to it success at the series premiere event, BFGoodrich Tires finished one, two and three in both the Legends and Unlimited season championships. RCAA: BFGoodrich Tires finished first, second and third in both the stock and Super Modified season championships and the Krawler T/AKX helped the brand capture the 2003 Women's Rock Crawling Championship in Cedar City, Utah. The series also announced that it will be merging with UROC in 2004. ERoCC: BFGoodrich repeated its 2002 performance by clinching the 2003 EROCC series points championship. ERoCC recently announced it will also merge with UROC and will now be named the UROC Eastern Regionals. The Eastern Regionals will continue to benefit and be run by the Trail Keepers Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and maintaining multi-use trails. NEUROC: Teams using BFGoodrich Tires claimed all three season championships including the top two spots in the Stock Modified and the top three spots in both the Pro Modified and Unlimited classes. Pro Rock: BFGoodrich Tires teams captured the Trophy class season championship and took home second place in the Stock Modified class on their way to a successful 2003 Pro Rock season. BFGoodrich Tires' off-road success began in in 1976, with the introduction of the world's first performance light-truck radial, the Radial All-Terrain T/A. To prove the durability and reliability of radials in off-road conditions, the engineers put the tire to the toughest test they could find: off-road racing. Since then, the BFGoodrich brand has continued the tradition of racing the tires it sells to the public and using motorsports as a breeding ground for future technologies. BFGoodrich® Tires combines technological expertise with vast motorsports experience, delivering a high-performance tire for every type of vehicle from ultra-high performance tuner vehicles, sports cars and SUVs to the hottest sport trucks, pickups and rock-crawling rigs in the world. For more than 30 years, BFGoodrich Tires has used motorsports as a proving ground. Success on the street begins with winning on the track and BFGoodrich Tires is involved in every type of racing, including oval, road, drag, desert and extreme rock-crawling. With 18 consecutive Baja 1000 wins, the most victories in rock-crawling history, and an unmatched record on pavement, BFGoodrich Tires has proven the only records it breaks are its own.
