Comments about Long Trail T/A Tour:

So, this is the 2nd set of These tires I have owned. The first set was on my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe when I purchased the vehicle brand new. I ended up having to replace them when the tires started to buckle, even after having them rotated and the car aligned of couse the problem was the tires. Called BF Goodrich told them of the problems but because I had replaced them with the 2nd set, they couldn't do anything. So, I bought 4 new tires to replace the bad ones, same tires. So they 2nd set they were great to start out with, but after about 6 months they started making this awful noise, the second set was bought around June of 2009, because the family and I were going to Calif. I live in Texas. Anyway, I'm having to replace them again. After however many miles I've had them, I've gotten to the point that I can't stand the noise. I would not ever subject anyone to these tires. Maybe they are better now, but I'm never buying BF Goodrich Long Trails for my car.

              Better than I expected!

Comments about Long Trail T/A Tour:

These aren't the tires I wanted. I wanted another manufacturer's, but they weren't available and winter was coming, so I went with my dealer's second recommendation. I went from yard sale, siped tires off a Durango, which were noisy as all get-out, to these, which were quiet enough to enable quiet conversations; what a relief! When the snow did come, the tires performed OK, but you have to remember that these are NOT rated for icy conditions for a very good reason. Snow on top of ice is still ice. They will act as any other non-studded tire acts on ice. Having said that, the real test came when we got dumped on all at once. With 15" on the ground, I decided to see what the tires would do, so I went for a ride. In four wheel drive, these things just grunted, dug in, and used the bumper for a snow plow. I was truly amazed that a long-mileage street tire could do what I was seeing these tires do. There was no slip, no hesitation, no nothing. Just go. They are everything I expected from them and more. After my ride, I told my wife that I thought I would keep these tires. Would I buy them again? Based on my limited experience (about 3 months -- the winter performance was most important to me) the answer is an unqualified "YES". And if they live up to their name, so much the better.
As far as fuel efficiency is concerned, they averaged about 0.3mpg better than what I had previously, which would not seem much to a 30mpg car, but I get half that.

Comments about Long Trail T/A Tour:

Just purchased the 2nd. set for my 2005 Colorado Z71LS with 135,000 miles. The first set has given excellent traction, quietness, and ride. Mileage came in around 50,000 miles. This truck spends most of it's time on roads in northwest Ohio, so the tires see a wide range of conditions from snow/ice to sunny and hot. I wouldn't have bought a second set if I wasn't satisfied with the first one. This is the best all around tire I've had on this truck.

                          • You need to know your vehicle's options to find out the original size of the tires for your vehicle because automobile manufacturers often use different wheel and tire sizes for different variations of a specific vehicle. If you do not know your vehicle's options, check one of these places:

1. The original sales invoice or window sticker when you bought the vehicle.
2. Your vehicle's Owner's Manual, which will sometimes identify your vehicle's options.
3. Look on the vehicle itself. Some vehicles have a decal or lettering that indicates the options located on the side or rear of the vehicle.
                          • Find the exact tire quickly using your tire size. Check your owner's manual or tire sidewall to find the required specifications.

Knowing your tire size can help save time at the tire retailer. It also enables you to make an informed tire purchase.

You can find your vehicle's original equipment tire size in one of the following places:
1. The following describes the differences between the tire type designations:

P-Metric: A uniform designation of tire sizes in metric measurements. A typical P-Metric tire is P205/70R14 93S.

European Metric: This system was a conversion of the numeric system from inches to millimeters.
