        DRY ROT after 8 months

Comments about Radial Long Trail T/A:

Purchased 4 tires in April. they now have 13000 miles on them. The Ford dealer noticed dry rot on the side walls and told me to return to the dealer i got them from. He seemed very concerned. whem i returned to the tire dealer i was told it was just cosmetic. BFG is only willing to replace 55% of the tire replacement cost. I guess it is better than nothing but I only got that after being offered 25% of replacement cost. How long should I expect to own a set of tires before seeing dry rot? Certanly more than 8 months or 13000 miles. I will probably shy away from anything BFG or Michelin in the future.

Comments about Radial Long Trail T/A:

I commute 100 miles a day mostly highway driving a Nissan Frontier crew cab. Also used for towing boat and work trailer. Approaching 82,000 miles on my original set of tires and still have another 5000-10,000 miles before I need to change tires. Thoroughly happy with these tires. Best I've ever owned and highly recommend to anyone for highway use and light duty off road use.
