        Comments about Rugged Terrain T/A:

I purchased 4 BFG Rugged Terrain tires 24 months ago for my 2013 Silverado 1500 Reg Cab 4x4 with a 4.8L engine. I just logged 40K miles this week. Due to the nature of my work, I drive on a combination of surfaces - Hwy, dirt roads, fire trails, farm pastures, logging trails, soft white 'sugar' sand road/trails . I've have very good experience with these tires on all these surfaces with regards to traction. These tires have worn very good. They do not show any excessive wear. I rotate my tires at every oil change. I rebalance every 10K miles. Per the chevy dealer that performs my service, I should be able to get another 20K miles on the tires. I am very pleased with this tire.

              Comments about Rugged Terrain T/A:

I have been a faithful BF Goodrich customer since 1982 and I am not impressed with the Rugged Terrain. I have owned Radial TA's, Mud Terrains, All Terrains and Touring. I would rate these as average and IMO these have not lived up to the sales claims. I have a 4wd 2011 Ford F150 screw w/ LT275/65R18 and have about 40k on these tires. They seem to be wearing faster now and have become noisy and lost some of their traction in wet conditions. All around, they have not been the best BF tire I've had. The All Terrain is a much better tire and I wish I had purchased these. I've had several sets of AT's and have never been disappointed by the traction, wear and noise of the tire. I primarily drive on road but have been disappointed off road, in snow and recently wet traction. I check my tire pressures weekly / bi-weekly and have kept up rotation and front-end alignments and they are wearing uneven. I will have to say, they only needed balancing once since purchase. I could not give an honest recommendation to others based upon my experience or cost of the tire. I would recommend the AT's.

                    Comments about Rugged Terrain T/A:

Put these tires on my 2005 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 access cab (265R/17) 48,000 miles ago, and they still have 5/32", so they'll go at least to their advertised life. This is the most impressive tire I've had an a Toyota truck (on my third). They replaced Han cook DynaPro's which wore out a bit before their rated milage. Great in all conditions, including snow, and they look great on the truck. My friends can't believe how such an aggressive looking tire can also be relatively quiet. Am not saying they're as quiet as a Michelin touring tire, but - it's a truck, after all. I use it as a truck, including taking it into the backcountry. You can talk with all passengers (it's an access cab) in a normal voice. Would definitely recommend it to all users.
