              Comments about Rugged Terrain T/A:

2004 F350 Diesel 4x4 came OEM with these. Second set where the same tires. Now over 140k miles between the two sets.

Love these tires - heavy towing, offroad, rugged gravel roads, spirited hwy and city driving, rain, snow, hot weather....these tires have been amazing performers with excellent road manners and fuel economy.

Looking for third set today but BFG no longer offers in LT265/75R16 so I am trying to find the last set in stock some where.

Final note: those having problems with this tire appear not..to be running the 10ply E-Load range version in their size
If they were, they'd be singing praises for these tires We run these on all of our 1-ton diesel construction vehicles - same excellent performance

                    Comments about Rugged Terrain T/A:

Purchased a full set of these tires to replace the stock tires on my truck once they wore out and have had nothing but fits from day one. 1 of the 4 had to be replaced before it was put on the ground due to it needing 16 oz. to balance it, out of the other 3, one had 9 oz, the other two needed 8+. After the first 3,000 miles, picked up a terrible vibration that sent me back to the tire shop to rebalance, same thing a few thousand miles later, and so on and on. Tire shop kept insisting that they tires were balanced and there was something else wrong with the truck so I had my mechanic check out brakes, hubs, axles, ball joints, etc. Nothing. Driving to work this past Tuesday, experienced a dramatic vibration right before the tread separated from the tire, no blow out mind you, pure tread separation after only 20K miles. Not only do I now have $4,500.00 worth of damage to the truck, but the tire dealer will not do a full warranty on the tire. Called it "road hazard" even though I demonstrated to them that the tire still has air in it and it is obvious to me the "lay person" that the tread literally came off. One of the original 4 I had replaced and put as a spare because it had a "bulge" on the top of the tire some 14 - 16 inches in the tread. There appears to be some issues with this particular batch and I have had to replace with what came stock on the truck.

                          Comments about Rugged Terrain T/A:

At the recommendation from my tire shop I purchased a 265/70 R18 Rugged Terrain T/A to replace the stock Wrangler tires on my '14 Jeep Wrangler 2Dr Sport to do some light off roading (green trails). This my daily driver but still want to have a little fun. I have had these on about a month or so and have somewhere between 2500 & 3000 miles on them. I am disappointed in the fact that they have already started slipping in the rain when taking off from stops. I dont have a heavy foot either. Also in less than 3000 miles with some light off roading (2 trips - again green trails) I already have had a rock puncture. I thought since they are named Rugged Terrain that they would have been better off road than the stock ones on the same trails (which weren't great either by any means). They have minimal road noise and are great tires for dry pavement and dirt roads but any actual "off road" I would recommend something else.
