Good off road, poor mud performance

              Comments about All-Terrain T/A KO2:

Well I recently purchased a Baja-Tacoma and wanted to immediately upgrade the wheels tires and lift the suspension of course. I call local wheel/tire vendor and they point me to BFG A/T Ko2.

Upon initial test drive on city and highway roads I found that they gripped very well even in the wet and didn't make much noise when doing so. I found braking to be phenomenal and cant say enough about how well they performed on road.

it recently rained however quite heavily so I figured this would be a great time to test them out off road on local trails. Come to find out that these do NOT break off the mud as well as I was informed they would. They cake on much of the mud and road debris in between the "lugs" and are extremely unpredictable when turning at slow speeds (10-25mph). Very disappointing indeed. For what I paid I was hoping to get a great mud/off road tire, such isn't the case... I have various pictures showing this mass of mud caked up on the lugs and not evacuating the tread as I was lead to believe. I don't do serious mudding but don't want to be worried about traction when it comes up locally. Most I just like to venture into light dirt/gravel roads, and some light rock crawling as well. hidden falls tends to be my favorite weekend getaway here in Texas.

Overall the tires are good on road and on dry terrain, but if you plan on doing light-heavy mudding I would not recommend these tires

disappointing to say the least for me for what I paid and what I was hoping to be a universally good off road tire.

                          Comments about All-Terrain T/A KO2:

I am a big fan of the KO2 but have a big complaint. I am running stock 8.5x20" wheels and wanted wider and taller tire than the 275/60/20 so i went with the 285/65/20 and on the 8.5 rim it is only 9.5" wide and the specs say it should be 11.5. A LOT of money spent on a look than is not what i wanted. i called support and cannot get any help. frustrated as to why BFG does not make a 35/12.5/20 or even a 37/12.5x20. Guess i'll go back to the MT
