        Noise, what noise?

              Comments about g-Force Sport COMP-2:

I've read several comments that talked about noise. Even the guys who installed them said that directional tires are noisy. Huh? Mine are quieter than the Michelins I replaced. One thing though (might have been the installers problem), after the installation was done at Sam's I pulled up to the gas pumps to fill up and take a good look at the tires. Hmmm. On the right side the direction arrow was pointing toward the front bumper. On the drivers side both tires direction arrows were pointing toward the trunk. Finished filling up and drove back to the tire center. Uh, fellas, got a sec? Showed them the passenger side, ok, then the drivers side. Ugly words, and then an apology. What made you look for that? I am a mechanical engineer, I look for details. They remounted the tires. Now all arrows point forward. Check yours before you drive away.

                    Comments about g-Force Sport COMP-2:

I've had these tires for about 4.5k/5k miles now and I can say these are a world of difference than the Nexens that came with my rims.. A lot of people ask why do I have such expensive tires on a Chevy Cruze running 235/45 18s and I tell them because I care about my life and handling of my vehicle. I travel at 90+ on the freeway a lot and these tires make my car handle like my Mercedes that had stag fit 235 & 255 tires.

I've had some cracks and minor chunks torn out of the tire but that could be from digging into the road at 100+ on a bend, they usually get smoothed out after 100 miles.

I have these tires installed on my 93 Mustang LX 5.0 as a complement to a new sport suspension. These tires scream when they're brand new, but after 500 miles of spirited driving, they quiet right down. I have about 2,500 miles on them and they're a dream. Wet grip is fantastic and braking is great as well. Sketchy in sub-30F weather, but what do you expect from a summer tire? Changing wheel size soon and will definitely be going with another set of Sport COMP-2's.
