Comments about Commercial T/A All-Season:
Having beeen a loyal BF Goodrich Commercial T/A tire owner, I had this tire on almost everything I drive or haul. In 2005 upon purchasing my new Dodge Ram 3500, I was disappointed that BFG did NOT make this tire in my size. In 2010 when I needed tires I checked again and BFG DOES make my size tire. I jumped immediately and starting purchasing the tire in an LT235x80x17E size. I have had good performance for the last 2.5 years, but at 35K miles on the tires, I had my first belt separation. The tire still had 8/32" tread from the original 15/32". I wrote a review which has not been posted yet, stating I hope this was not a sign of things to come. Michelin contacted me to my surprise as I did not know that Michelin owns BFG. We discussed the tire and application and found that I was doing everything right to make the tires last.
Now just 1500 miles later, I had another BFG Commercial T/A (That I bought at the same time) just had the same type of belt separation on another tire. Again, no repairs to the tire, appears in good shape, and has 7/32" - 8/32" tread left. I just replaced both tires with the same replacement tire and am hoping that a bad batch may been been turned out, but not holding my breath.
A recommendation from customer service was to utilize a Michelin XTS M/S2 tire. I may try this next, but have not liked the handling of a Michelin tire on a HD truck in the past. They offered a 500 mile test drive, so I may try.

Comments about Commercial T/A All-Season:
I have used the BF Goodrich Commercial T/As for years. I have had them on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks as well as my gooseneck trailer. Great sidewall stability allowing the trucks to almost drive themselves. Very rugged and most of the time can go the life of the tire without a repair.
BFG did not make the size yet for my new Dodge dually so I used a competitor's tire. 7 out of 9 seperated. The first one cost me $1500 in repairs to my truck.
I now have BFG on this truck, but have just had my first failure. 3 years and 38K miles later I still have 8/32" tread. I noticed the vibration prior to the tire blowing out, so I saved my truck. I found the typical 6" long bulge for about half of the tire width. During this same trip I had 3 BFG on my trailer blow out, but I contribute this to the age of the tires and the trailer has been sitting for a few years. The tires are 7 years old, but still had 14/32" tread.
I hope this is not a sign of the future. I am replacing the seperated tire with another BFG Commercial T/A hoping this was a one time thing. Time will tell!
