The sizes and/or speed ratings listed may vary slightly from the specified OE size shown on the vehicle placard. Your local Tire Dealer, as a trained professional, will provide the required assistance to install the tire listed by: 1. Notifying the owner if the replacement tires are different in speed rating than the OE tires and the maximum speed capability of the vehicle is limited to the lower speed rated tires. 2. Determine if any inflation pressure adjustments are necessary with the alternate listed size.

Tires
for a particular dimension of a given tireline may vary in appearance from the tire shown in the photograph.

WARNING: Serious or fatal injury may result from tire failure due to underinflation or overloading. To ensure correct air pressure and vehicle load, refer to vehicle owner's manual or tire information placard on the vehicle. Serious injury or death may result from explosion of tire/rim assembly due to improper mounting. Only tire professionals should mount tires and they should never inflate beyond 40 psi to seat the beads. Before mixing types of tires in any configuration on any vehicle, be sure to check the vehicle owner's manual for its recommendations.

DANGER: Never mount a 16" diameter tire on a 16.5" rim.

Note: The g-Force R1 is a special-use product designed for competitive racing. As such, the following precautions must be followed when using the product.

Mixability between g-Force R1 and R1S:
The R1 & R1S are not mixable for most all applications and racers. If BFGoodrich gives guidance, on site through our engineering team expertise, then a racer could run R1-S in conjunction with standard R1s. For most applications the tires will not be mixable.

At the Race Track:
Never inflate the tire to less than 19 psi.

On the Street:
DOT-legal tires meet the minimum requirements established by the Department
of
Transportation for tires
used on public roads. However, DOT approval doesn’t necessarily mean that a tire is well suited for frequent use on public roads, particularly in the case of competition tires. The BFGoodrich g-Force R1 is such a tire, and we recommend that it not be used on public roads.

For high-speed driving, additional inflation pressure and possibly reduced tire loading and/or upsizing is required. In the absence of specific recommendations by the vehicle manufacturer, use the following guidelines based on those in the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization Standards Manual.

Choosing between the g-Force R1 and R1S

How does the R1S compared to the current R1? The R1S has more ultimate grip, will come in quicker and is better suited for colder temperature tracks.
The
R1S will wear quicker than
the extended wear of the standard R1 and is not well suited for tracks that are tough on tires during extremely hot days.

What is the deciding factor for choosing between the two tires? The R1 is better for track days, hot days, track cars that are hard on tires because of its long wear. R1S will be the tire of choice for those who need a tire that comes in quickly (is fast to warm up to its ultimate level of grip), running in colder weather, or has a car that has trouble getting heat into tires. The R1S should be utilized when lap time counts more than long wear life.

For speeds over 189km/h (118 mph), load and inflation must be adjusted according to the table below.
