Good tread
Bought these tyres a out 6 weeks ago. Have done around 7k kms on a long trip up north. The tyres are quiet and feel pretty good on the road. However, I need to know the tread depth of a new tyre. To me it looks like the have already worn about 20%. They are wearing evenly. But I am not sure how long they're going to last. At the current rate I'm thinking about 45k kms. When I bought them I was hoping g for 80k kms. Just very unsure at this point. If someone could provide the tread depth I could be more accurate. Thanks.
J99, this tire has 18/32 of tread when new.

👍🏼👍🏼
So far so good, as long as they last I’d get them again. Only hope they beef up the side wall a little bit more

Running these on our Government Vehicles
We have started to run these on all of our 1500, 2500 & 3500 trucks (transport, service, pit, dump, & small plow trucks) here at Coconino County Public Works. So far everyone has been very happy with them. Coconino is the 2nd largest county in the country with a wide variety of terrain. Deep Snow, Ice, Mud, Sand, Washed out roads, you name it we see it.

4th Gen 4runner with 255/80R17 BFgoodrich HD Terrain KT
Just installed the 255/80R17s on my 2006 4runner and i am very happy. Similar noise level as a KM2 and about the same weight as my previous 275/55 R 20 K02.

Nobody can top BFG.
BFG HD Terrain Sweetest I ever ever ever Ever. Sm0Xd. On / Off pumping drilling we all got in on it. No CAP BFG got us turnt out.

Excellent off pavement
These replaced General Grabber ATX which lasted about 35k miles in good condition, swapped at 5/32 tread remaining. I bought these knowing I would use them exclusively off pavement, except for travel time to trails. These tires are heavy, but aggressive and beefy! They look closer to mud tires than all terrains but the rubber seems pretty stiff and I wanted a longer lasting compound since I tow about 10k in TT through mountains and desert throughout the year, and that kind of weight shaves off rubber fast! Quiet on most highways, only ever getting noisy on one type of concrete road in Utah at 75 mph, everything else being pretty mild and tame, even quieter than my Generals. Off pavement these tires are exceptional in sand, mud, and rock as I drove the White Rim Road at Canyonlands NP in the rain. Never had a problem ascending 20% incline switchbacks with the tires and floated right through deep sand. High speed is where these tires show their limitations. Going 70+ mph and making a sharp correction induces a bit of a wobble but the vehicle recovered quickly, caused probably by the lack of road/rubber contact with the large tread blocks. Solution? Drive under 70 mph as driving and towing at 65 is very stable. City speeds provide great handling too. Going to try these in the snow this winter but I don’t expect great icy traction as there is little siping surfaces on the tire. I am carrying chains for my 4WD just in case it gets squirrelly. I highly recommend these tires for HD trucks that see lots of off pavement use like job sites, farms, and rural areas. They are highly capable off road and in the backcountry and provide polite manners on pavement. These are not for extended everyday highway use but I feel safe towing at reasonable highway speeds.

Vast improvement over the stock 245/70s
About 1500 miles in and, so far, very satisfied. Went from 245/70 17 to 285/75 17. Ride improvement overall was considerable, but especially noticable on bumpy roads. You can hear the tires, but it's not something that bothers me.

Perfect Tire
I went to Discount Tire as I have been for over 40 years and bought 4ea 20” 285/75’s. Bruce Halley built an honest business! I’ll never buy tires anywhere else. I had the honor of meeting him those many years ago. RIP Bruce. Now to the new tire…all I can say is “totally awesome rubber “, great in rainy days, mud is a cake walk and good on the highway stretches.., road noise no problem very low for this aggressive of tread. Totally satisfied. Regards, MTM

BFGoodrich HD Terrain T/A Kt
I bought these a month ago . Like the looks of them little louder on the road but that doesn't bother me. Haven't had them off road yet. I hope they don't chip like the K2s. By looking at them and the rubber seems harder I think they will work out good.

I bought these tires on recommendation of local tire dealer they now are my go to tire on the farm
