Review Summary
The tires offer excellent off-road performance and traction, especially on rocks and challenging terrain. They provide strong grip, durability, and the ability to handle various off-road conditions. However, some users note the tires can be noisy and wear down quickly on paved roads, making them better suited for dedicated off-road use rather than daily driving.

i never ever over spend
i bought these tires a few years ago . i find that you have to rebalance every 1500 miles and they are out of round now . just good for offroad use now. stay away from mud . you will get stuck, after the tread is worn 4000 miles. i still have over half the tread but these tires are only really good for competion. i hope

Greatest Rock Tire in the Business
I have recently switched to the Crawler KX on my rock buggy and I love them. I have always bought Interco tires and had decent luck with them. However, I did not know what I was missing. The BFG Krawler KX sticks to rocks were the other brands have no chance. In my opinion this is the greatest tire in the business. Thank you BFG for provided us rock junkies with a tire that actually works!!

Excellent traction in off road situations. Amazing traction on exposed rocks. Sidewalls are a little bit questionable in some situations. Overall, the best performing rock crawling tire available in my honest opinion.

Excellent offroad tire. I do not drive it on the street much, so I can't really speak to road manners. But in the offroad realm, these tires truly excel.

These tires work excellent on and off road, but offroad is where they truly shine. On-road manners arent bad for a tire that is designed for rock crawling. I have been wheeling these tires for four seasons now, and they still perform better than any other offroad tire I have had.

Simply Incredible Tires!
I have run quite a few different tire brands off road, as well as the full line of BFG tires and I am stuck on the Krawlers! I had KM2’s on my last Jeep and absolutely loved them for their off road performance as well as street manners but have always wanted to run the Krawlers. I bought the 39” Krawlers last year and have been beyond impressed! They performed flawlessly on the Rubicon Trail, gripped like glue in Moab, and performed amazingly in the Tennessee mud and rocks of Pennsylvania. They perform very well on the road as well, albeit with the standard mud tire roar, but they have not gotten louder over time like a couple of other brands I have had. The only recommendation I have is that you rotate them every oil change to keep the wear even, especially if you wheel hard. When aired down to 7-10 psi on the trail, they simply wrap around the rocks and provide a ridiculous amount of traction. I love the rubber compound as well and hope they don’t change it. On lines where other’s tires are spinning and not gripping at all, I usually have much better traction. If they do start spinning, they heat up very quickly and the traction definitely gets better. My only hope is that BFG keeps them going on the production line because I had to wait for months on two occasions because they were out of production or concentrating on other tire production. I will probably order another set soon in case they are on hold again. Anyway, these are a “must buy” tire if you are looking for a serious off road tire!
Thanks for the awesome review Neon. BFGoodrich customers ROCK!
