Review Summary
The tires provide excellent off-road traction on mud, rocks, and challenging terrain. They also handle well on the road, with some users noting they are quieter than other mud-terrain tires. However, there are concerns about uneven treadwear, with some needing replacement after 20,000 miles. The tires are also described as being on the pricier side.

Super weak sidewalls
Bought these tires a couple months ago for my polaris utv this is the second trip on them (not even close to a 1000 miles) and two of them got sidewall punctures already i will never recommend these tires to anyone nor will i be purchasing them again im going back to the maxxis carnivores that i had!!
Gunit, Thanks for writing a review. Sorry your experience with the KM3 wasn't a good one. We hope that you will consider BF Goodrich tires again in the future.

Bad tires worse customer service
10k miles and these are very dangerous to have on wet roads or speeds over 60mph dues to server cupping and tire ware. Brand new vehicle 2023 jeep gladiator willys with 10k miles never been off road except the yard in Florida.

Amazing tires for both on and off road.
First KM3, previous was KM2 and still love them! I have 35x12.5x15 on my ‘08 JKU and absolutely love the tires. Out in Las Vegas but hardly driven in town almost all miles are highway and trails/offroad. Few gravel “roads” and have never had an issue. They hum almost as good as your wife but not that bad. They are a mud terrain so it is a given. Never had issues with traction and have been in a variety of gnarliness off road. I won’t buy any other brand of tires for my rig. Just wish they were cheaper. But got to pay to play.

Awesome mileage and off-road toughness/traction
I bought these for my 2017 Colorado ZR2 in 285/70/17 (E load) when they first came out in June of 2018. Overall, I got 66,000 miles out of them. They could have gone another 5k miles or so, but I believe I potentially got a slightly defective tire, as it has worn unevenly and is not perfectly round. Thus, there is now too much vibration to continue driving on this set. The other three tires in the set have worn and performed perfectly. The worst of the tires is pictured below. I always rotated the tires during oil changes. However, I elected to live with the “bad” tire and it was fine. It only became a problem in the last month due to the vibrations in the cab and steering wheel because of the imperfect shape. This was a very early set of KM3s so I’m not upset or surprised by this, as I think it is bound to happen. I took these tires to MOAB and on other off-road trails and they were very tough and had great traction. I’m giving 4 stars because the on-road ride quality leaves a bit to be desired, between the noise and vibration I experienced. I have since moved from CA to CO and need better snow traction. So I swapped out the KM3s for KO2s. Sticking with BFGoodrich!!! Don’t let my story stray you from these tires. Overall, they were awesome! I just have different needs now. I would also recommend a C load rating if you drive a smaller vehicle like mine. The E was a bit stiff for my truck (running at 38 psi).

37’s on Gladiator
45 k miles. Love them lots of hwy miles. Lots of off road miles. sand, snow, ice. slick rock, mud, loose rock. Lots of concrete.

Good All Around Tire
I have had the mud snow tires (31x12 x15) on my 1989 Sidekick and love them. They air down to 12PSI and take me where ever I need or want to go. They grip well off road on rocks but I try to not drive on the sidewalls, yes they are thinner but that makes them flex and grip well. Even in snow and ice they grip and handle better than any other tires that I have tried. I am getting a Jeep Rubicon and these will be one of the first things that get installed.

Lasted from Mexico to the tip of Argentina and back!
We replaced our aging K02's in Oaxaca, Mexico with a set of KM3's and they took us exploring offroad through the jungles of Central America to the great Paracas sand dunes of Peru to the Bolivian and Brazilian Amazon jungle. Had enough tread to make it back to the USA. Shocked they lasted that long on our heavily loaded Land Cruiser.

I dunno…not happy :(
I have these tires on my Willys Wrangler. I like the look, but one has cupped really badly. I had my suspension checked out and it’s fine, so I’ve got to buy a new tire, which is super annoying because I’d prefer to have all of my tires the same age. Booooo.
Jeep Grrrrl, we get your frustration. We need to get some more details. A member of our team will be emailing you, or you can contact us at 866-866-6605 for assistance.

Best tire I've ever bought for on and off road
I bought these tires a few years ago. Pro's: They are quiet for a mud terrain tire. Excellent traction in snow. I was plowing through 12" deep snow effortlessly. Any deeper and I will be pushing snow with my front end. They also worked well in total ice too. Drove all over Colorado mountains in the winter with no issues. They shine is the soupy snow too. This is where the mud design come into play I can take highspeed turns no issues. Rain no issues. I do test my braking in adverse conditions i.e. press hard on the brakes and see if they slide. This give me a gauge to my stopping distance. Con's: They will cup if you don't rotate the tires often. My tire store offers free rotation every 3,000 miles. They are an aggressive tire with a softer compound and will wear faster. So don't expect 50,000 miles.

Really nice mud terrain.
What a great change. I think I made a good decision getting these. I had a set of Nitto Recon Grapplers, and it was like my Tacoma had no suspension. Now it rides so much better. They have minimal road noise, and made the ride quality better. Not sure how they will do in the rain yet, but we will see.
