Review Summary
The tires provide excellent off-road traction on mud, rocks, and challenging terrain. They also handle well on the road, with some users noting they are quieter than other mud-terrain tires. However, there are concerns about uneven treadwear, with some needing replacement after 20,000 miles. The tires are also described as being on the pricier side.

My favorite tires on a wrangler
My go to tires for my last 3 Wranglers. Balance easy, last fairly long going offroad to hwy and sli g mud like no other.

Great looking tires!
Bought 5 of them around June 2021, have about 35,000. moles on them. They’re on a 2021 Toyota Tacoma Off Road 4x4 , ride nice even today with 35% of the tread gone. No excessive noise. Pretty quiet to be truthful. Won’t hold gravel in the treads like All Terrain will. Definitely buy again

Won't balance
I purchased an F-150 Black-ops truck that came with 35x12.5x20 KM3's on it from the Tuscanny build of this truck. I purchased the truck with just over 4000 miles on it and part of the deal was to replace the front 2 tires, since that, I've put 3000 more miles on the truck and had all 4 of the tires balanced 4 times, including 2 shops with road force balance machines. I'm just done with these tires.

Horrible performance
Bought 5 of these tires for my husband and they are worn out in 6 months! Ridiculous waste of money.

All 4 shot at 7052 miles!
Bought the 255/85 16" for my Ford Explorer Sport 2dr. All 4 tires were totalled at 7052 miles .. they couldn't be balanced and all tires had a pronounced 'hump' on the balancing machine.
Sonny1597, we're sorry to hear this. We don't have a case to indicate we have discussed this issue with you or your retailer to initiate a warranty claim. We recommend that the tires be inspected by your local retailer. Have them contact us while you are there.

North Carolina to Montana and back
I've always had BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires and have always been very pleased but I decided to give the new KM3 a try. I couldn't be any more pleased! These are by far the quietest and best riding mud tires I've ever had heard or rode with. Once in Montana I drove my truck through many different conditions ranging from sticky mud, slick mud, Ice and snow. I honestly put myself in a few predicaments that I shouldn't have and every time these tires made up for my questionable decisions. BFGoodrich has set the bar pretty high with this new tire and I probably owe them dinner for getting my truck back home.
Thanks for the great feedback Jason! We appreciate it!

Great till 20k
I agree with the user above the tires are great and you hit about 20,000 miles I purchased 10/2019 And just replaced got them at 31k miles just replaced at 60k with lots of tread left. The more miles you get the more wobbly kids and shaky it made me think my limit was off or something else was wrong now tired or replace not a single issue alignment was fine. It felt like the tires were going to shake off..
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Bec. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

Overall Tire diameter is inaccurate to size
I bought these when I had my 2015 F150 4x4 lifted a few inches and wanted a tire 33” or just over. I was offered a great deal on these from a local vendor, and upon research decided to make the purchase based on tire performance and the size I desired. After having them mounted I thought that they looked small, but thought it was just my imagination. BFG advertises its TA KO2 275/70/18 as a overall diameter of 33.2”. It does not give a diameter for the KM3, but with a thicker tread depth, one would think it would be slightly bigger. NOPE. this tire would be lucky to be measured at 32.2” on a good day. When buying this tire, take a tape measure to it before you install to be sure it is the size you want and to be sure it fits.
asasso, sorry for the misunderstanding. Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. The industry standard for measuring the overall diameter of a tire is: mount on the appropriate rim width as identified by T&RA or ETRTO then inflate to 1.8 bar (26 psi). A calibrated measurement tape is run around the circumference of the tire in the center of the tread (which represents the largest overall diameter). This measurement of circumference is then divided by the mathematical constant known as PI (3.14126...) to calculate the diameter.

Get what you pay for
After reading some negative reviews it has prompted me to chime in. I have purchased 3 sets of mud terrains in the past 5 or so years and have found them to perform off road well. Balance issues. Never had a problem. In fact when brand new ride like a Cadillac. Rotate with oil change to maintain even wear. Two sets 33 12.50-15 on 03 Jeep Wrangler and they pull like a beast in mud. If yours aren’t push the pedal on the right harder. Last set on my 05 F-150 stock size also ride great. I compare to GoodYear Wrangler mud terrain which are no comparison to BFG. If you want white lettering you will need to find KM2 not available in KM3. Not sure if they are even making them anymore. I will continue to buy BFG Mudterrian as long as they don’t get covid and disappear.

Came from KO2's
I've had these for about 10,000 miles now and they still look new. I came from 285/70/17 KO2's in E load range on my 4Runner, and I've got the same size and also E load of these now. I had the KO2's for 60,000 miles and would absolutely recommend those to anyone who is on the fence about them. But, for what I use my vehicle for, I decided to try mud terrains on my daily driver. I was very anxious about that, and oh man. These tires are perfect. They ride smoother than my previous tires, and somehow my road noise is a bit less also. They are fantastic on road, but off road is a night and day difference. I absolutely love these tires. I would 100% recommend.
Thanks for the awesome review. BFGoodrich customers ROCK!
