Review Summary
The tires provide good performance, handling, and traction, especially on dry and wet roads. Customers praise the stability, comfort, and low noise levels. However, a recurring issue is the tendency of the white lettering to turn brown over time, even with light use, which many find unacceptable. Some report faster-than-expected wear, durability concerns, and poor value. Overall, the tires offer a good driving experience, but the browning lettering is a significant drawback.

My Raised White Lettering turning brown
I have bought Radial T/A on both classic cars I won (1969 GTO and 1969 Grand Prix) and both sets are turning yellow...I clean them and 48 hrs later, back to yellowing..They range from 2-3 years old with very limited mileage, as I only drive them in Summer...What can you do to solve this issue? I am in Montreal, Canada (but put ME as State, as no options for Canada) Robert Ziwani

Brown Letters
I bought a set of Radial T/As for my show car. The White letters do not stay White! After cleaning them as directed by my tire supplier, They still turned Brown! B F Goodrich is not been very good about taking care of this! I have spent Alot of money for these tires and I am very Disappointed by the customer service I am receiving from BF Goodrich! They know it's a problem and they are very slow to do anything!

Brown Letters
The raised white letters begin to turn brown within hours of cleaning. The tires are less than a year old and have about 300 miles on them. This has been an issue since day one. I like the look and performance of these tires on my classic car, but the hassle of trying to keep them white isn't worth it. What recourse does BF Goodrich offer? Most of the complaints on this website are about this issue.

Great tires in hard to find sizes
Quiet, wear well, available in hard to find muscle car sizes. I look around and always end up buying BFG Radial T/As. Great bang for the buck. Use Comet, water and a brush to clean raised white letters.

Raised Brown Letter Tires!
If you have a show car or a car you are proud of, DON’T purchase these tires! I’ve read the recommendation in the FAQ section. No car owner should need to spend hours on the letters before enjoying their car!

Exactly what I needed!
BLACK LETTERS OUT! 69 1/2 440 "Six Pack" Super Bee". Car was built with plain steel wheels, chromed lug nuts & Redlines. Its a wide car that SMOKES any tire you put on it. Well? These DO "Hook Up" much better than ANY brand Ive ever used. Yes I can still "spin" them, but thats NOT what I needed. Ezcellent tires. 295/50-15's No 100% Satisfied! MoPar or NoCar!
Thanks for sharing the love, 440 6 Pack Bee!

Raised Brown Letters
I have owned several sets of BFG Radial TA's throughout the years and had nothing but praise for them. Until now, that is. My latest set seemed different from the day I bought them. The blue protective coating seemed nearly impossible to remove. Then, the white letters just didn't seem to come clean. These tires are on a collector car that stays safely stored in a garage and only gets driven to car shows and cruises. However, after being stored away, the lettering is now stained brown. Also, the black sidewalls are discolored as well. They seem to be oozing some sort of solvent. I've tried every type of cleaner and scrubbing method to no avail. So BFG, what gives? None of the previous versions I've purchased have had this problem. Just a quick search on the internet shows that this is a widespread problem with these tires. The irony of this issue is this. Consumers who buy these particular tires are classic car enthusiasts who take great pride in every detail of their cars. They want to take them to shows and cruises and present them as works of art. Frankly, I'm embarrassed to take my car anywhere with my BF (Brown Font) Goodrich Radial TA's on it. Other enthusiasts look at me in disgust as if I couldn't take 5 minutes to clean my tires! So my question to you is, "How can you market a specialty tire to a certain target group, yet your tire no longer meets that groups need? BTW, I paid much more for this set of BFG's than I did for any previous sets I've owned, yet I've got an inferior product. Is Goodrich doing anything to address this problem or accommodate customers, or would you prefer that loyalists like myself look to other tire manufacturers?

Classic look up to speed tech
Nice tire, back in my day It was common for a weekly freshen up of the white and every parts store had white pencils on the counter tops
Thanks for taking the time to submit a review, Manwhospeedsmuch!

I would buy again and again.....
I have purchased several sets of BF/Goodrich tires to use on my classic Corvettes and Mustangs. I don't need to consider looking at any other tire mfg. because of the great looks, performance and service I've had. Thanks BF/Goodrich........
