Do not buy these tire! Do your homework. They are junk.

I bought four in 2019. There were serviced/rotated in 2021. Tires have less than 40,000 miles on them. Two of them have major cracks on the sidewall. I have been given every excuse possible by several service centers. "Torque fracture from too much power". I drive a truck, not a Tesla. "Cracks happen when you carry too much weight". This is not a work truck -- I use it for camping and take public transportation to work. "You didn't rotate the tires enough - that caused the cracks". Did I mention the tires have less than 40K on them and are not even four years old? "You need an alignment" This wasn't mentioned to me when I brought them in for my last rotation. One tire disintegrated on the highway and cost me $400 in towing. I cannot get any dealer or Michelin to stand by its product other than offer a $50 credit towards four new ties. Do not buy Ko2's, find a company that stands by its product. "Improved stronger sidewalls, 50K warrantee" Don't believe the marketing hype.

My third tread separation.

This things are dangerous. Experienced my third tire disintegration today. All have been at highway speed and today nearly caused a loss of control. The first, I gave the benefit of the doubt to the tire. It had been used hard off road and was on a heavily loaded truck. The other two have both been taken care of with minimal hard use in, thankfully, unloaded conditions when they failed.

How to survive in a snowstorm.

I live in Buffalo NY, one of the snowiest, iciest and whiteout-est places in the country. For many, many years I have used KO2’s for my winter tires. Dont believe the lies. There are two types of tires. Spring-summer-fall tires and WINTER tires. The winter tires must have the mountain with snowflake symbol cast into the sidewall. If it aint there it aint a winter tire. At least it wont save your life in a snowstorm. Dont cheap out. The guy in the ditch, cheaped out. Next, you want thinner tires to cut through the snow. Remember those old wooden sleds with the two metal rails that always sucked because they cut through the snow down to the grass and stopped dead? Thats what you want in a snow tire. Not a wide tire like a snowshoe. You need to contact the pavement to stay on the road. I use 265-65R18 on my Sierra’s and I always blow past the unprepared, wide tired or all season guys on the thruway and a lot of them are 4WD. These KO2’s are a softer grippy compound with a strong sidewall to grip the curves in the road and keep you square in your lane. You will not believe the control you have. Change these out to your summer tires after the snow is gone. You will burn them up on dry pavement. That saves you money in the long run. I get at least 6 winters out of mine. They have some road noise. A hum to remind you you are protected during the winter and a hum to remind you to change them out in the spring. It is not an annoying hum if you realize they are there protecting you. Tires and brakes are the most important things in your life while you are in your vehicle. Buy the best for both. Start with KO2’s. You will thank this review.

Just hit 18k miles all 4 are wore out. It's ridiculous that $1500 tires don't last a year and the "warranty " doesn't cover them

Buyer beware

I have a set of these KO2s on my Lexus GX460. I have 18,000mi on them now and the tread is half gone and the outside 1.5in is already dry cracking. And for the record, this vehicle is my commuter and half of the year the roads are covered with snow. What ever compound change you guys have made is not an appreciable one. I won't be buying another set of these.

GX460, sorry you've experienced this issue. It seems this is a larger tire size than the original equipment tire. One of our team members will be in touch to get more info and help with a solution.

Great tire. Poor longevity.

Bought November 2020. 32000 miles on tires. 2 are almost bald. Other 2 are 30%. On F350 crew cab. 2nd round of these tires. Love the BFG look and snow performance. However after almost 3 years and only 32k on them, highly disappointed. Maybe BFG will honor their warranty. Costco wasn’t any help on knowing what the warranty was. Maybe these would be fine on a lightweight jeep. But not a real truck thats actually used for work. Have barely had any snow to push for the last 3 years so that’s not the problem.

MW, we hear the frustration. The KO2 does have a Limited Treadwear warranty. A member of our team will be in touch to help initiate a warranty claim through the tire dealer.

Dissatisfied 1st time buyer

I bought some BFGoodrich 285/65/R20 AT tires for the first time because all I here from several people I know is they just love these tires. Well, I think I may have to differ on the ‘“love these tires” because I found a split on the sidewall on one of my tires. Now they advertise these tires “feature coreguard technology to prevent bruises and splits caused by rugged terrain.” I have to disagree…I’m very disappointed with these tires in their performance and what they are promoting this tire is capable of holding up to with rugged terrain when I mainly drive on the highway unloaded. I bought these tires almost a year ago and I only have 16,700 miles (95% Highway wear). Lets see how much they really do care about 1 customers dissatisfied performance in their tires.

1sttimebuyer, we're sorry to hear that a tire was damaged. Coreguard technology enhances the durability of the tire, but that doesn't mean the tire is indestructible. Our team will be reaching out to you to discuss further.

I have never been a fan of Michelin but now they give me a reason to stay away from their products

One of the tires exploded when I was driving from the dealership and brand new truck too. And Michelin denied my claim to reimburse for the replacement of my tire.

They09, we're sorry to read of this issue. Our warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for 6 years from the date of purchase, or the life of the tread, whichever occurs first. If the tire is available, we would gladly speak to the tire dealer to get an inspection of the tire which will determine if it is a warrantable condition. Give us a call at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST Mon-Fri to discuss.

Sidewall Failure

This is my 8th set of BFG KO2s on my personal rigs, and I run a fleet of 23 trucks at work with them. The latest set I purchased for my personal truck exactly one year ago. Everysingle tire is cracking on the side wall in a radial pattern. These are not weathering cracks or old tires. These cracks are thick enough to stick a quarter in them. Between all four tires there are 69 cracks in the side walls of my tires in a perfectly radial pattern. These tires were made January of 2023.
