Review Summary

The tires excel in off-road conditions like mud, rocks, snow, and ice, providing excellent traction and durability. While they can be noisier and less comfortable on the road compared to all-terrain tires, the trade-off is worth it for those prioritizing off-road capability. The tires also perform well in wet weather. Overall, they are widely regarded as a capable and reliable option for off-road use that can also handle daily driving needs.

Excellent but LOUD!!

Love the tires! I've never had to even lock in 4 low they bite so good, but at around 65-70% tread life left, they are so loud I can't hear my radio with the windows down in my 4x4 silverado.

wouldnt buy them again !

I bought these BF Goodrich Mud Terrains just under 2 years ago, I paid good $$ for them to. I don't drive more then 8 miles a day on average, and take a couple of 150 mile both ways, road trips in a year, I haven't put more than 7,000 miles on them, and they are already cupping and on the front and the back are starting to wear.

Do not buy if going off road any

I purchased these tires after my Km1's went bald. i loved my KM1s. they went through mud that people with 4 inches taller tires couldnt go though. they were the best. I had the same expetations for the km2s. They were a major let down. i have gotten about 60,000 miles out of them which is great. but they do not do anything in off-road conditions. everytime i have went through any kind of mud whole i had to call somebody to come get me.

Dodge 2500 4X4

This tire should be offered with a tread mile warranty. I almost didn't buy them because of that. I have 64K on my 35x12.5x17 KM2s. They have seen mud, snow, sand, rocks, ice and have gotten scuffed up a bit on the occasional wheelin adventure and are still going strong! I rotate them religiously every 5K and my worst of the 4 still has 8/32 on the tread. They are a little noisy on the road, but so is the truck! Nothing you can't live with if you want a good "all-around" truck tire. These will go anywhere I want to take them, and they look pretty tough too. When they're wore out, same ones are going back on. Cost is certainly a consideration......but you get what you pay for in this case. Yes I would, and did recommend to a friend. He's a couple years in now, and getting similiar results.

TUFF TYRE

I fitted these to our Nissan Patrol a couple of years ago, since then we have been on some of the toughest tracks in Australia, including the Canning stock route & Cape York. We have completed almost 30,000k's on them, not 1 punture, no balance problems, no vibration, very little road noise for a mud tyre, all this with unbelievable traction, they certainly get my vote. Regards Kevin

Great tire.. while it lasts

I use this tire on my Dodge Ram 3500 SRW 4x4 truck in the fall/winter. It preforms excellent on snow/ice/mud as well as wet/dry roads. It handles weight well at highway speeds. My only complaint is the short life I will get out of them. I am at approx 50% tread in 11K miles on a 5 tire rotation, with normal rotations and driving.

ACTION!

I have an 03 Tacoma that is my daily driver 450+ miles a week and on the weekends its my weekend warrior! I have had other off-road tires and the tread life is not the greatest nor the road noise, unless you like to yell at your passengers. However I have a set of 31x10.5R15 Km2 and they are great, fairly quiet, lots of traction in mud and even on thoughs dry rocky conditions. My truck takes me rock crawling to our extream fishing spots here in Hawaii one day and the next day I'm in the mountains in the mud hunting. My truck has to get me where I want it to go or else it aint any good to me and I must say it hasn't failed me yet! Some say other tires have more traction but when you look at a tire overall these are your best bet! Mahalo!

Land Cruiser 79 Pick up - BFG Mud KM2

I travel extensively in Southern Africa. This includes Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, South Africa, Mozambique. My last set of tires did 63 000 miles. This included tarmac as well as gravel roads. I run 285/75/ R16's and will never run any other brand tire.....ever. I have never had a sidewall puncture and really enjoy the confidence I have to travel off the road into the veld and bush without hesitation. Working with cattle and wild animals my vehicle is tested every day and thus the tires need to be on par with the reliability of my Land Cruiser. Thanks for an excellent product...

GREAT tire for daily driver

This tire has great traction in the NC red clay, I had no trouble driving down the farm trails in 2wd. Also on the rare occasion NC get snow, I had no problem helping other stuck vehicles.

I recommend this tire

1995 jeep wrangler

Has to be the best off road tire with the best wear life on the market i have had the km2's on my jeep for a year and a half now and i drive it everyday and still have about 85% tread if not more. The wear life for me could be due to my light jeep but still no question the best off road tire on the market.

I recommend this tire

Jeep Rubicon's new Tire

I purchased the original BFG KM for my 88 Range Rover. The original BFG KM's look awesome but lacked traction on wet streets, which is what I drive on 99.9% of the time. The new KM2's look and ride a lot better. I now drive a 07 Jeep Rubicon which comes with KM's but I think the new tire Jeep should change to is the KM2. I went a plus size up from a 255/75 R17 to a 285 70 R17. This is now my 3rd set of BFG's and I recommend them to everyone that asks or comments on my tires. The ride and noise is better.
