Review Summary
The tires provide excellent off-road traction on mud, rocks, and challenging terrain. They also handle well on the road, with some users noting they are quieter than other mud-terrain tires. However, there are concerns about uneven treadwear, with some needing replacement after 20,000 miles. The tires are also described as being on the pricier side.

Great off road, too loud on pavement
These are really fantastic tires off road and the tread noise had been very tolerable until my first rotate and balance at 4,600 miles. High pitch wine is now not tolerable. I'm very surprised.

Exxcellent tire
I had these tires and after 40,000 miles they still had 20-30% tread life left. Rotations are critical with these tires i found and needed to be done at about 5000 miles. Just slightly more road noise then my KO2's were but did get louder as they got older. they worked great in all offorad contions, sand, snow, rocks. On the road they were also very good but needed a little more attention in the rain but its a M/T so expected.

Great overall! But a bit pricey
I went from KO2s to these KM3s on a 2004 LR Discovery. 265/75-16. I have gone off road, city, and highway. Off road they are great! They shed mud much better than the ATs did I find. On road, well you hear them more, especially at city speeds but it's not bad. Highway they are not bad either. Slight humming but overall very pleased with how they behave on road too!
Thanks for sharing the love, Roby466!

Miles of Confidence
I bought these KM3’s 2 months ago. So far they have been in the snowy mountains, icy pavement, heavy rain downpours on the highway, deep mud, and just recently sand. I have ran them at 50 psi with no sway and they absorb bumps well at speed. After 5k miles I project them to reach 65k miles... but that is a very very early projection. Anything over 50k miles and there is no competition in the mud terrain tire category.
Thanks for the awesome review Smitty73. Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 customers ROCK!

Get what you pay for
After reading some negative reviews it has prompted me to chime in. I have purchased 3 sets of mud terrains in the past 5 or so years and have found them to perform off road well. Balance issues. Never had a problem. In fact when brand new ride like a Cadillac. Rotate with oil change to maintain even wear. Two sets 33 12.50-15 on 03 Jeep Wrangler and they pull like a beast in mud. If yours aren’t push the pedal on the right harder. Last set on my 05 F-150 stock size also ride great. I compare to GoodYear Wrangler mud terrain which are no comparison to BFG. If you want white lettering you will need to find KM2 not available in KM3. Not sure if they are even making them anymore. I will continue to buy BFG Mudterrian as long as they don’t get covid and disappear.

Great tire for a good price
About 5000 miles since install. Good wet and dry traction. Tire noise is present, but is much less that expected. Driving at 70 and you have no problem carrying on a conversation. Plus, they just look AWESOME!

Great all around Tire
I have 11 months and 65,000kms on my set of tires. I have ran them mainly on the hi-way, but up here in Canada I have driven in freezing rain, 30 below and ice covered roads, heavy rain, mud, gravel, and dry pavement. I have yet to find a condition that I don't find them to be very predictable. I am running them on a 2018 Jeep JL Rubicon, and they are at about 1/2 life. I am very pleased with them. I am 55 and have ran the BFG Mud tires for years, from about 1996 on. The only negative that I see is that one of the tires has one tread that has a cup in it, but I do not count that, I do use them hard.

Tough Tires and Supports the Community
During Moab Easter Jeep Safari BFG sets up a BFG Garage where there own mechanic team helps people with broken rigs get back on the trail, its an awesome way to support the event. Because of this, I was able to get my Jeep back on the trail during the event. Because BFG is always supporting the offroad community and makes a phenomenal product I just bought my second set ofI bought BFG tires. I had previously run KO2 and just bought these in a 37" for my Jeep JLUR. Great grip and very tough.

Cant find any km3 anywhere
At this point I am stuck with km2 or go to another brand, cant find anywhere that can get km3s for my Jeep very disappointed in Bfgoodrich right now. Needed tires for over 6 weeks now.
Unhappy consumer, we appreciate your enthusiasm for our tires and understand your frustration. Like many businesses, we're still facing supply challenges brought on by the pandemic, and we're working at capacity to improve our inventory situation. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
