Best mud tire on the market
I put a set of KM2s on my 08 Tundra a few years after I bought it and they were expensive but I believe they are the best quality mud tire on the market. They are a little noisy and they don’t do great on pavement but they are outstanding when you get in the mud and the way they make your truck look is just worth it IMO. After the KM2s eventually wore down after about 50k miles I went ahead and got some KM3s and they look even better than the 2s and I feel like they are a little quieter on the highway. Not to mention the 2 sets and over 100k miles over all kinds of misquite thorns and road debris, I’ve never had a leak in any of my BFGs so far. I can’t say the same about the Michelins on my Camry or the Goodyears on my Tacoma. And don’t settle for the cheaper Taiwan made Nittos either.
Good but not great!
I’ve purchased BFG’s for several trucks and a Jeep. I purchased KM3’s for my current vehicle a Ram Power Wagon 6 months ago and put 1k miles on them. Took it to Lytle creek, Big Bear and Calico. They handle good on and off road. Calico destroyed them! I’m now missing tread, the sharp rocks literally ripped the entire lugs off. Needless to say, I will never go back to Calico and I probably won’t buy KM3’s for my PW either since it’s too heavy and the KM3’s are too soft. CJC warned me, why didn’t I listen…
Great tires, undersized, over priced
I’ve tried just about every off-road, AT, MT tire made over the years. I keep coming back to BFG for the quality tire that they are. Currently running the KM3’s on my Jeep Gladiator. These tires work great on road and are exceptional Offroad. The two main complaints I have, which is pretty standard on all BFG truck tires. Undersized for what size they advertise them to be. And I’m not talking about just a little bit. BFG’s are some of the worst about under sizing. ALOT. Once you get to the really tall tires, the prices are outrageous compared to their competitors. I’m in need for a larger size now and the BFG price is outrageous on 39’s (which are actually 37.75” tall supposedly) sorry BFG’s looks like I’m gonna have to go to your competitor after all these years
TexRec, we sense your frustration. The main issue here is related to how customers measure overall diameter vs. how the tire industry measures overall diameter. Most people put a tape measure next to their tires on their vehicle to measure the overall diameter. This way of measurement gives a reading smaller than the way the industry requires us to measure overall diameter. The overall diameter is actually calculated with a tire mounted on the appropriate rim width as identified by T&RA or ETRTO then inflated to 1.8 bar (26 psi). A calibrated measurement tape is run around the circumference of the tire in the center of the tread (which represents the largest overall diameter). This measurement of circumference is then divided by the mathematical constant known as PI (3.14126...) to calculate the diameter. We hope this helps.

Greatest tire ever
I bought my set of 35x12.5x15 km3 a little over 3 years ago, I’ve owned my Jeep for over 28 years by far the best tire ever . It makes the Jeep ride smoother for sure. I’ve been off road in light and rough terrain and they perform excellent. I would recommend these tires to anyone looking for great ride and great grip. BF Goodrich did their homework and research when they came up with the Km3. CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. OIIIIO
Don't Buy the KM3 Tires!! already need to be replaced with only 7,000 miles on them.
Purchased 4 exact replacement tires for my Shelby Baja Raptor in November on 2023 the dealer is telling us they are bad with only 7,000 miles on them.

Go, go, and keep going tires
1999 Land Cruiser with armor 6700 pounds wet; no passengers. 305/70r16 36k on tires, off-road between Arizona and Montana, daily driver also driving with locker engaged to traverse obstacles, used chains not cables, sand, snow, hard clay, sharp rocks, bolts in the road, deep water, river crossings with 24” marble style rocks, operated at temperatures ranging from -12 to 123 degrees Fahrenheit, supper sticky mud (chain country), high speed desert driving, braking with rush hour drivers, and pushed to make it across whatever. Okay, the verdict is: Best off road tire, not best mud terrain; no lateral traction, sand (yes, please!); awesome, snow (air down and will claw across anything), wet performance is very respectable, rocks 🥇🌟 (linear flex zone is a enormous change of pace; keep in mind they don’t role out when aired down like most radials (almost behaves like a bias ply tire) and I will purchase again. CON 1. Heavy by 18% on average cross rotated every 4,000 miles rotated and rebalance.
100k from 33 12.5 17s!
Daily driven mud terrain in a fully armored 4runner weighing about 5600 lbs empty and about 5900 lbs loaded up. 45psi on street and 8 - 17psi off road, rotated w spare every 5000 to 7500 miles. Alignment on point. Stay on top of pressure. Once they start cupping from low psi or alignment, they likely won't correct themselves. Start getting noisey when reaching end of life. Hope km3s will be as good.
Awesome tire, so happy 117K miles
I have always had KM2's on my trucks. Bought a new Chevy LTZ in 2016. Put a set of of KM3's on this vehicle in 2017. Still on the truck, 117K miles and still going. Will be replacing this month with the the same. I have been across sloppy goose fields, snow, water logged roads. Loving this tire. Rotated every 5K, rotated and balances every 10K. Cany wait for new set.......keep on miling!
Terrible weak sidewall
Upgrade? No chance, stock bighorns never had a sidewall issue on the same trails, have had 3 blown sidewalls on the Km3s such a waste of 1100 dollars
B/O Quality Tires
Bought two years ago, and have less than 15k miles and tires are already worn down to less than 40% life. Website advertises BFG KM3 50k/6yr warranty and when filing warranty claim advised they do not have such coverage, false advertising. Drive my truck 2-3 time per week for mountain trips/hunting/camping, no serious or egregious off roading, tires performed decent on off road trails/backroads but poor materials due to such quick wear. Inspection report advised tire bands are bad as well. Second set of BFGs, first K02 and second chance KM3, 9/10 do NOT recommend either. After calling warranty number and being placed on hold was sent to a survey after an extended period of time then call terminated.
DuramacCz, our records indicate that we have talked to the retailer regarding your tires and although there is no warranty coverage for mileage or uneven wear, a concession was granted as a one-time offer.
