Review Summary
The tires provide excellent off-road traction on mud, rocks, and challenging terrain. They also handle well on the road, with some users noting they are quieter than other mud-terrain tires. However, there are concerns about uneven treadwear, with some needing replacement after 20,000 miles. The tires are also described as being on the pricier side.

Love them upgraded form bfg a/t
I am really blown away by these I always heard M/T tires are loud, nope not these pretty quiet even for a jeep. Love the performance, the durability and hope it lasts as long as mine A/T tires did. All I need now is a matching spare. I have these mounted on 15inch and can easily air down to 12psi without worrying about breaking a bead. These rode so nice I would recommend these tires to everyone, especially if you have a Jeep the road noise is almost non existent. And man these look great also.

Best off road tire ever
I bought these 5 years ago, now with 36,000 miles and still good amount of tread left. I amy buying another set.

Awesome tires
2rys old, rotated every 3500 miles. Still driv and sound like new. Many off-road tires over the years and these out preform any I’ve tried. Moving up to a 35 from a 33 in a few miles.

Siped they are great for Winter and Summer in Alaska.
I have been running these 37x12.5r17 on my 2 door wrangler custom siped in the center 8” of tread as both a daily driver and trail riding both winter and summer here in interior Alaska. They wear faster than the K02’s, but aired down to 25psi they work exceptionally well on hardpack snow and ice, through 2 feet of snow in winter, and medium mud loads in summer. And they don’t clog up in the deeper stuff (snow or mud) like the K02’s do.

KM3 is a poor design. Bring back KM2 or Krawler style..
KM3 mud terrains are a poor design. The tread depth is already too shallow when the tires are new. The KM3 wears out too fast. Please bring back the KM2, which was better looking, lasted much longer, and performed as well or better than the KM3. I would even buy the original design KM1 again over the KM3. Until BFG changes the design, I will not buy BFG mud tires again. These KM3s are like the old KO2 all terrains. Seems as though BFG is moving away from supporting the off-road enthusiasts. If BFG eliminates the Krawler, I guess I will not be buying any BFG ever again. Not to mention these tires do not clean well and are ugly. What was BFG thinking? Avoid the KM3s unless you don't need a mud tire and are just buying for looks and in which case there are better looking tires out there, just my honest opinion.

I bought these 2 months ago, quiet so far they are definitely rock chuckers watch out for gravel roads

Great tires.
I ran these tires for over 3 years and around 25k miles and still had 8/32nds left of tread They were great on freeway and decent in the rain. In the snowy winter I would air down during storms and they would grip decently well in the deep snow They were quiet for a mud tire.. they had great on highway manors. In the mud they did extremely well as they should in ohio we have ( CLAY mud) very sticky and thick These bad boys would chew right through it with not a problem and they didn't really kick mud all over unless you layed into it But at low speeds they really just pulled through it and dug in with min throttle effort With proper chalk testing and rotations the tires wore perfect. Especially on a ram 2500 power wagon 37 inch tires are big boys loved the tires. Sadly due to cost at time to replace I couldn't justify the 140 a tire increase in price To buy another set.

Excellent off-road; noise and squirrelly on-road
Love the tire off road, performs excellent and absorbs a lot of shock and impact. They are heavier and mileage has decreased. I’ve had them since 2019 and have put @ 15k miles on them. Still holding at 70% tread life. Rotate every oil change. Here’s the kicker; they are squirrelly on the freeway and like to wander the lane. They can be a bit wishy washy if you have to abruptly lift off the throttle. I’ve put BFG on all my cars and trucks for near 20 years and always will. I think when these go, I’ll back down to the AT’s. Lastly, I did buy a fifth spare MT so I’ll be offloading a new MT to swap to AT’s. Love the tire, off road they are king, on road you need to be ready to provide extra driver input.

Overall Tire diameter is inaccurate to size
I bought these when I had my 2015 F150 4x4 lifted a few inches and wanted a tire 33” or just over. I was offered a great deal on these from a local vendor, and upon research decided to make the purchase based on tire performance and the size I desired. After having them mounted I thought that they looked small, but thought it was just my imagination. BFG advertises its TA KO2 275/70/18 as a overall diameter of 33.2”. It does not give a diameter for the KM3, but with a thicker tread depth, one would think it would be slightly bigger. NOPE. this tire would be lucky to be measured at 32.2” on a good day. When buying this tire, take a tape measure to it before you install to be sure it is the size you want and to be sure it fits.
asasso, sorry for the misunderstanding. Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. The industry standard for measuring the overall diameter of a tire is: mount on the appropriate rim width as identified by T&RA or ETRTO then inflate to 1.8 bar (26 psi). A calibrated measurement tape is run around the circumference of the tire in the center of the tread (which represents the largest overall diameter). This measurement of circumference is then divided by the mathematical constant known as PI (3.14126...) to calculate the diameter.

Uncomfortable ride after 20k
I’ve just reached about 30k miles with these tires. The first 15-20k they performed well Off-road and on road. After that, I’m just “dealing” with it because I don’t want to replace a tire with plenty of thread left. What I’m “dealing” with became a slow progression of increased noise, vibration, and radial pull, all of which I convinced myself was “normal”. Fast forward to today (30k miles), the radial pull is unbearable. The road noise I’ve grown accustomed to but makes me envious of “quieter” tires. I rotated my tires every 5k miles. Maybe I should have done it more often. Maybe it was my fault. All in all, I will not be purchasing again.
